Hey ! I developped a 3D printed H pattern gearbox that is the best gearbox of the world :

    PRESENTATION:
The best gearbox in the world:

    • 6-speed H-box + reverse gear
    • Sequential (we go from one to the other in 3 seconds)
    • Clutch mode (optional): if you don’t press the clutch pedal, the gearbox stays locked (only in H mode)
    • Multiple attachment points (from underneath and from the side)
    • Adjustable front-rear and left-right feeling
    • Adapter to mount a hand brake (P1)
    • Possibility to connect pedals to it
    • For about 140€.
All the documentation is available on the website !

Would this be able to be used as a dogbox? Something like a nascar gearbox

I don't think so. I made some research few weeks ago, and found out that there are so many different gearbox that it's impossible to have them all in one ^^

Do you know a gearbox that offer so many points of attachement ?
Fastener integration is now complete. A few points may be added as we go along, but as it stands, the possibilities are numerous.
The movement is smoother than before thanks to the use of round axes instead of threaded rods. There is still too much friction on the forward and backward movements for the sequential mode to be satisfying.
So we will have to rework the front-rear tracks and probably the large triangular part.
It is also necessary to develop the wedges in order to be able to assemble the mechanics precisely.

    New update : https://lebois-racing.com/srt-gearbox-dev-1

Before starting, what do you think about organising a closed beta? The idea would be to get a small group of people together to make the box, and target different points that I can’t necessarily solve on my own.

Indeed it would make it possible to :

    1. Check that the box can be mounted on various supports.
    2. Check that the box is “buildable” even by people with limited knowledge of printing or electronics
    3. Validate some ideas (the button plate for example).
    4. Check that the box works correctly over time
    Read more.

Hi ! I spend the day building the v7.9 after 4 days of non-stop printing.
Everything works ! I am exhaust now, but here a quick update.
You can subscribe to the closed beta by sending me your email on my facebook page.

An impressive work is seen and above all, what is most surprising, the quality of the 3d pieces with that matte and smooth smooth effect. Is the PLA coil you use expensive?

    note that much. It's a PLA+. 50€/2,5kg

Well, 2.5kg is a lot for me. I always buy 800g or 1 kg. If the 2.5kg comes out to 50 I suppose that 1.5kb would be 25 euros. It not so expensive.
