After buying a 4dof platform I decided to use the wipersengines on my old 2dof platform instead of the servo motors on my belt tensioner. Unlike my old one, now the abdominal belt is also tensioned. In general the system became much stronger and quieter.

nicely done! smooth and powerful :thumbs
what are the specs of the motors, please?

have you thought using the lateral belt in the other direction with lateral surge to make a 2DOF harness tensioner? this would give you more information

I'm building a 2 DOF back tensioner (abdominal belt are not active though), only left and right shoulder are independant.

Good night. as I only have two engines, I chose to tension the four points of the belt to have a more intense surge effect. I am using the following engine:

Your build has inspired me to scrounge some parts from work and implement this! I will document my build once my pots arrive and I have a weekend to tackle it!
    Thanks for sharing
