    Hi,

Need some advise regarding motor that I am planning to purchase. I am planning to build full frame 2dof for my first motion rig.

here is the spec of the motor according to the seller

-24v 300watt self locking motor dual shaft
    -No load speed 80-100rpm
    -Under load speed 60-70RPM
    -Torque 20Nm.

I have attached the picture the motor. As per seller, this motor have only 2 wires and does not have grounding wire. My question is.. is this a similar motor with wiper motor and need to isolate the grounding wire? The seller said they can make 3 wires for me if I want. so should I ask them to make 3 wires?

And also, what Hbridge board suitable based on the spec of the motor?

really appreciate any advise from experts here..

    thank you

Thanks @noorbeast ... How about the ground isolation things? I have read many article and faq about need to ground isolation but I still don't understand what it actually does and why only wiper motor needs it and not all dc motor.. how it different with normal grounding wire.. sorry I am very noob about electric...

Ground isolation is needed for wiper motors, it is not needed for more powerful DC motors.

    Hi amer,

I use similar motors with also only 2 wires from a chinese supplier and they work fine without any ground isolation. Regarding the driver MMs are not suitable as they are going up to 16V, but IBT2 or sabertooth should be fine for 24V.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks.. thats very much helpful.. as for motor controller I am planning to use either cytron md30c or mdds30 dual channel as it is cheaper compare to sabertooth and free shipping cost in my country... btw the motor will take around 3 to 4 weeks to arrive from china.. so I guess while waiting for the motor, I will do some experiment on cytron motor controller to see if it can move my existing smaller RC motor...
