    Hi my fellow geeks :sos

first, my birthday is tomorrow and I wanted to make myself a gift in adding tloss to my 2dof MoSiRig.

Today I read the great BlasinH's SPS Thread again and recognized that I do have two voltage clamp resistors for my first two motors ... I thought I might somehow lead the cables of the 3rd motor that I could use only those two resistors. But the thread says I'd need one for each powerline

Would you please tell me tonite if I can set it up with what I have ... somehow ... without burning my sabertooths? Btw I want to use my two sabertooths 2x32A (or is it saberteeth  ) maybe that info is important to you?
For further info you might have a look at my "MoSiRig" (this expression is only funny for peopele who know younger Munich/Bavarian/German society history :grin) here
    https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...-2x160w-sabertooth2x32-race-flight-sim.14822/

You are my heroes anyway ---- and maybe you know a fix for me, so I can start my 3rd Motor tonite :) and ride into my birthday with a GREAT smile on my face!

Thanx for your help :cheers and hug:

    Yours, ART FLY

The sabertooth's warrantee is pretty rock solid and covers almost everything except connecting the polarity to its power inputs backwards. The resistors are mostly used to keep a power supply from tripping when not used with a battery in parrell as well as for heat dispersion. So it should be okay to give it a go without a resistor to see if it actually needs one or not.

Hahaha, thanx for the celebration - U are FIRST to congratulate. Awesome :cheers
I am trying to figure out the specs of my resistors.
Then if they might be strong enough ... how should I do he cableing?

I sould have listened to my Maths and Physiks tachers back then about 35 to 4o years ago much better

Thank you so much for the fast hint U sent me. I hope I'll figure it out ... very unsure ... bah, so time will come ... you encouriged me so much in the building of my 2do so far !!!
Really - such a big THANX so far for the time you gifted me and I suppose to xxx many more likes like me. You are awesome !!!

It is so late at nite at my place that I think it is better not to stress and push anymore forward on the solution right now. Better do it calm the next days than to burn anything and be away a long time before I can afford new spareparts.

    Cheers with Bourbon Mate,
I'll give back with more dumb questions the next days maybe.
Luv, Yours ART FLY, Peace !!!

What a great honor to trceive URE answer!

    I use two 12 V 500 W power supplies in parallel I gues.
At my place it is already past midnite - my B-day and I already had some Bourbon :popcorn:cheers:popcorn ...

I will check tomorrow or maybe Sat what hardware I have ... ohms on the resistors, Voltage and such. Thanx if you would stand by once I posted that
I am so green in Maths & Physics you would not believe I made it to a very well working 2dof . I can tell U the electronics work only because of Ure thread and Noorbeasts support.

Keep up your great work for the community. THANK YOU!

Hi mates, please have a look at the following Pictures. They show my motor specs, the hopefully correct calculation and a product I found.
Is that the right way and the right stuff?
I am looking forward to your answer.
    Later, Yours ARTi

One 1 ohm resistor may work but accoring to the calculator result you would need two of them wired in series to get 2 ohms.

Do you say if i buy a 2ohms resistor with more than 160watts i'd be in the save side?
