    It’s been some time since I posted here. I was on another project: 4WD electric Buggy ;).



    For the last 2 days, I’ve been working on the 4th DoF of my motion sim, for Yaw. I’m using ball bearings, and a pivot at the front. It moves very well by hand. Will connect 4th motor soon to test it, and add wheels on the top of the simulator base to maintain it well towards the black base:

    VR is now installed ;).

    I use Pimax 8KX VR helmet. 4K resolution per eye, with eye tracking for DFR (Dynamic Foveated Rendering). Here I play Assetto Corsa.
    Next steps: better cable management at the rear, and wind turbine addon.

    Sure, here are a few pics.
    For the pivot I used a part similar to this one:

    You’ll have to dig holes in the 2 plank of wood to have the same distance between the 2 planks that you have with the ball bearings, to be horizontal.

    for the ball bearing I ordered them in a french company (sorry I forgotten its name…) but they are similar to these ones:


    Make sure they are steel balls and not nylon, and try to get some that can handle a good weight (CY-30b).

    Ball bearing need to be installed on the lowest plank of wood, and steel sheets on the top one, to limit dust problems.
