    Hi,
since I have managed to get my simulator to work correctly I have started to notice that I move too much in it.
I had been thinking about putting on harnesses for a long time but I don't know if they are really worth it or even if they are necessary.
The seat I have is slightly large for me, although it is something that I cannot change.
Could someone who has used them in a 2dof sim tell me if they are really necessary or worth it?

If you lean away from the seat you are actually reducing the effectiveness of the motion, so yes a harness is definitely worth it. A harness can also be motion driven, either independently or parasitically, which makes it even more effective in extending motion cues.

    Wow, thaks for the answer!
As I understand parasitically motion driven harnesses could be for example fixed to a standing still structure and tension as the sim moves forwards, am I right?
How do the independently driven ones work?

Well, it seems that for now i'll try to get some harnesses and make the parasitically driven ones with some springs I have at home, but definitely I will research on the independently driven ones.
For the independently driven ones you need a motor that you configure later as an axis in game engine?
