An overview of the pending eye tracking for Pimax, they mention mid February as the possible start of pre-orders, but given past experience with Pimax I would take that timeline with a grain of salt:

I have not used mine for a while, but never had a problem in the past.

I tested mine on X-Plane 11.41 and it works with the Pimax. What version of PiTools are you using?

Just tried myself - Xplane 11 is working fine with my Pimax 5K+.

Perhaps it would be best to take that up on the Pimax forum.

If I recall I used SweViver's tips as a base for tweaking my Pimax with X-Plane 11:

    Pimax 5K Plus.jpg

    I'm one lucky guy :)
$450 (Australian) delivered for a second hand Pimax 5k Plus. The guy bought it on 6 January this year and sold it to me 2 weeks later because he preferred his Valve Index over having to tweak settings to get the Pimax running at optimum specs.
It came with the Comfort kit and 2-in 1 cable too. I guess Santa was just running late this year.

So I was looking around online and happened to come across the 3D files for a printable protective case for the Pimax that the company released in February 2019.

    Yes and no.

    It works for the position.

But the rotation (roll and pitch and yaw) are not reset by the reset seat position. If it could, it would be great.

Also, a low pass filter to remove small vibration would be awesome.

    Pierre.

Hi, sorry for late reply, has this issue been solved?

After I send a video of the issue (pitch and roll not resetting a seat reset), they reply this to me:

Hello, sir, I've discussed with our team about this issue, they told me we will fix this issue in future pitool, but not now. Please wait for the new version, thanks.

I then send them this, but I don't know if they will consider:

Okay. If they fix it in future version. Can they also consider adding a low pass filter to remove high vibrations?

    2 reasons:

    1. Often, controller are attached to a long pole that can introduce small undesired vibration.

    2. Butt Kicker. Vibration speakers that simulate motor vibration. They also introduce unwanted vibration into motion cancelling controllers.

    Thank you.

    Pierre.

I can only say that I own the vive pro and I love it.
The rays don't bug you that much once you are in game.
The resolution is of such quality that you can also read text in the game.

With that said. (and unfortunatly I don't have so much time to play around with my headset :-( )BUT I'm really looking forward for even better image quality!
Didn't know they had tested it up to I saw the youtube vid. :))))

Some action at Pimax, have a email advising me that they are sending me something - likely just the Index Controllers and Base Stations .

My pimax new 5k plus came in with blue case - just as the artisan version?
At first i tought they send me artisan but it says 5k plus i pitool and i can set up 144hz.
    Thats strange...
And also its not changing the color of front led bar when i change it in pitool.
    Any ideas?

I've never got that LED thing to work on either 5k+ or 8k+, wouldn't waste your time on it.

According to the Pimax now webcast, all new headsets from now feature the blue case as their black coating was attenuating the tracking signal slightly. I have a 5k+ (from kickstarter) and it has the upgraded firmware allowing the higher refresh rate, basically a software improvement. Just waiting for the MAS/comfort kit as i'm on my third set of 3d printed brackets with a vive DAS and its neither comfortable or reliable!

Works fine on mine, although I don't really care what colour it is.
Maybe not everyone is having issues. My 3d prints have worked fine from day one and Vive DAS fits and feels fine. Actually Purchased my 5K+ loaner from Pimax for $200 (bargain:)) and when my X turns up this month will pass it down to my son who is very happy to get it.
