Hi, i just wired my setup temporarily to test my motors. My arduino is loaded with smc3 code, i didnt change anything on the code. Arduino is connected to a polulu VNH5019 dual driver shield. I am using some
6127V1A180L.5FS hall effect pots. Wired everything as stated in the SMC3 thread and i folowed the smcutils test described in the thread. My problem is i cant get any motor to move in smc3 utils, my motors turn off automatically in the app. I have to load back a saved setting in smcutils and then my motors can be turned on in the app, but as soon as i click on motor 2, both motors turn off in the app. By turning the pots manually i can see the green line moving so i know this part works. But when my motor 1 is "on" in the app, i have no feedback from the #1 pot, i have feedback only when its off.

The problem is present when running arduino on usb 5v only and also when my power supply is on.

When my power supply is on, theres a blue light on the VNH5019 so it seems to get its 12v correctly.

My wiper motor grounds are isolated.

any ideas of what i am doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

SMC3 has mode 1 and 2, for different types of drivers, is your correct for your hardware?

Yep it is, i found part of the problem, my pots were not at center so smc3 code auto disable apparently....

Now my 2 motor are "on" in smc3 utils.

Motor 1 seems to work perftectly now, motor 2 dont move and receive way more voltage than motor1 for the same pwmmax number....

It works now, the pots were out of range and motor 2 had a bad ground.

Is there a guide for smc3 utils tuning?

I got the basic infos from the smc3 thread that gets you started but i dont have a clue of how to tune the parameters....
