    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF, 3DOF
    Hi everybody,

I have a 3DOF sim and I am a software developer. Simtools is fantastic software and I am using simtools for my rig. But I also developped custom software which has a lot of custom features. My software and simtools work together. Some settings are doing by my software and others are from Simtools.

Simtools has plugin API, I know this. But my need is "ManagementAPI" on simtools. Forexample, I want to be able to change axis plugin values outside the simtools. Now I can do that by my software by editing profile files in my software and closing/openening simtools to refresh that values. At this point simtools can provide refresh profile(s) like method to refresh profile settings from the profile file.

If simtools developer(s) can do this, I can provide some API feature request list ?

    Any suggestions are wellcome.

That would be for @yobuddy's consideration.

I have something like this planed for v3.
But SimTools has no idea what the values will be in a particular axis plugin, so I don't see outside plugin settings editing.
This is unless an axis plugin is written to have outside access (with a little app or something), then it should be possible.

In truth thou with SimTools v2, the axis assignments are locked during the run for safety reasons, so they should not be edited while riding.
With v3 thou, I'm planing to have the axis assignments plugins be able to be live or locked during a ride.
I just need a bit more time and I can showcase my v3 Ideas and get some feedback.

it's allot easier for me to just mock up some ideas and show some pic's in the forums, that it is trying to explain all my v3 plans.
Then get as much input as I can before i completely build it out.
I could not be happier where I'm currently at with v3 thou, and I think most people will like where we are headed.
    Take care,
    yobuddy
