Why does Iracing do a reverse motion (surge) when i hit the wall at higher speeds. At low speeds it seems alright but even a bump to the sides causes full surge motion whitch has no logic. Again, small bumps work alright but large bumps crashes are completely unrealistic.

Really? Nobody knows this? Asseto corsa does the same. surge motion in wrong direction when crashing.

Have to test it, but it depends on having rebound or not.
At low speeds you dont have it, but at high speeds the car might rebound and go back.

Its common for the motion software to ignore fast crash forces but materialize the opposite direction as its a bit slower than the impact instance.

See this 6dof platform move back (surge) so fast, poor guy had to change his pants... :grin

So this is basically the way simulators like Iracing are programmed. Maybe they should exclude/disable rebound force for a few milliseconds when crashing. I thought it is something like this.
