    I don't think it's a Mover problem.
What is your motherboard in the tower?

Ok i will test this .
I already tested usb 2 and usb 3 but it was with the usb extensions connected to the motherboard ( not a powered hub ) !
Will check as you ask for directly to the motherboard !
Édit : ok will first update all what is possible to update bios / chipset etc ...

    so what I did :
    - as you ask for I updated all motherboard drivers and AMD chipset
    - updated also FTDI driver
    - erased an old setup into usb serial driver FTDI for Thanos board amc1280 usb. speed back to 9600 , Thanos always said that the board himself setup the communication speed . And I unchecked a parameter into the com port setup , the one which says that the port Is an '' enumerateur série ...''' located in advanced settings into com port setup .

And yesss an another victory yessss IT WORKS . Many thanks to you Flypt your fast support and help !

The problem now is I can't test because something broken into my actuator . I believe the 3D print part which link the aluminum hollow shaft and the sealing piston . As my cylinder is not fully well printed a little geometry no straightness problem , I think this constraint has broken this part . I have to unmount the cylinder , check , re-design and print a new one .... just a question of a few hours !

Said victory to soon .... now it doesn’t work again !!
I’ve got back error transmitting data and don’t know why !
Difficult to understand why it works and after a few days got back the error !
Edit : I only tested with esp32 and error happened ! A little bit lost in this situation !

    Hi,

You are not the first complainig about the serial connection.
Yesterday was testing and it happened to me.
Might be something in Mover. Need to make some more test.

I'm solving some other bugs, and then i will look at it before releasing a new update.
Try to close mover and open again to see if this solves the problem, because in my test the cause can be related to the new update on hot keys and hot joystick.

That shi*! Joystick is giving to much problems, but i will win!

Ok ! I found a operating start sequence which avoid incoming data sent error !
I have to mention that I tested only with my actuator connected to my pc and I became this error also .
To make it working on my tower pc I have to make the calibration sequence with limit switch first without the connection with mover .
After I connect usb serial and it works .
I don’t know why with my laptop it was working with usb serial connected during the calibration sequence .
Not yet tested during game , it’s the next step
Edit : already tested close and open again Mover but not solving the issue , only what I wrote above works .

Ok i achieved to make turns with my 6dof with all stuff connected and without any communication errors !
    - Thanos board
    -esp32
    - direct drive
    -rift
Yes it works ! Need to improve my actuator and air pockets and optimize the setup but really great !
    Thx

    Hi @pmvcda
I am not sure, someone did ask this question before.
Its regarding the Hall-Sensors of your motors: How would you rate the resolution? Is it good enough also for extreme small movements of your rig? Does it move smooth? Whow many "counts" per Revolution do you have?
    Thanks!

I think it's smooth, I don't notice the resolution and they can work at low speed.
But you know those things, when we try better we don't want to go back.
I'm using 1605 ball screws, so 5 mm per rotation.
My motors have 6 poles and 3 phases, that's 3*6=18 steps per turn
    5 mm / 18 = 0.27 mm resolution.

Theoretically this method can work with any motor that can be driven with the bldc8015A (up to 50V and 15A rated 45A peak) ---> SPECS
But it needs to have sensors!

    Sorry, can't find the file.
Might be in a SD card. Have to search it.

    Hi Pedro,

Just for comparison, I control the AASD-15A servos with 500 pulses per revolution resolution...

500 pulses to advance 5mm on 1605 leadscrew (2 revolutions for 10mm)... so for 400mm stroke actuator, for example, it counts 40,000 positions!!! This is 0.01mm resolution accuracy.

    Thanks
    Thanos

PT could offer me some actuators... would change in no time. Already have the controller  (thank's)
Meanwhile, I have to live with what I have, specially now that economics are going down the drain again here (one more time... :()

Its not matter of actuators from PT-actuator... You can use your existing actuators and mount the 80ST motors on them:
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32973113245.html

Even if it takes a while, I'll try to keep donating frequently, hopping you will save the amount needed for six of these motors...

    Thanks
