ok so the kangaroo.... i have to say it was a waste of time.
all the issues i ran into WHERE PILOT ERROR not knowing WTF i was doing. after these 3 months the current setup as of this post is as follows:

2 wheelchair motors with pots for feedback
    1 sabertooth 12/32
    1 Arduino UNO
    Simtools W/ SMC3

Does anyone see a reason why I could not just duplicate the rear setup (normal mounting to the back of the chair) to the front with shorter rods?

the chair has a multiaxis joint mounting the next 2 motors to the front left and right corner of the chairs platform similar to this project

rear setup to the platform has been mounted
2 wheelchair motors with pots for feedback
    1 sabertooth 12/32
    1 Arduino UNO

The plan is to mount this to the front
2 wheelchair motors with pots for feedback
    1 sabertooth 12/32
    1 Arduino UNO
    Simtools W/ SMC3

I have 2 quadrant encoders but I'm not using them do to coding has anyone used them with SMC3?
