Hi everyone, I'm excited to be in the community and see that many technicians in the community are helping home. After joining the community, I gradually learned the principles of 2DOF through basic learning. Now, I upgraded the original seat to a dynamic seat. This is the fixed racing seat I use now.

My design idea: try to use the original materials, based on the original, orthogonal upgrade materials. Do not waste previous seat materials.

Happy drinking everyone puts forward valuable comments. In the next few days, I will update my project progress one after another.

Start to encounter some problems There is a problem with the communication between SMC3 and simtools. After connecting simtools, the motor rotates irregularly. Later, after learning through community posts, I knew that the reason was a time zone issue, and it should be changed to the United States, with the emphasis that the system text should also be changed to American text. This is very important.

Thank you for your suggestion, I hope to change to your suggested solution after the test. Compare the results again.
Now there is a problem. The frame and seats are too heavy. I worry that the motor load will be too heavy when I sit on it.

    Next reference (
fzxj520), it is recommended to transform the motor in the middle position.

The motor is already installed at the rear of the seat, which feels much better.

I found a problem, my power supply is a bit unable to move the motor.

I now use a 12V200W motor with a 12V33A400W power supply. It is possible that my power supply is fake and obviously feels underpowered. Ask if you have a better power supply recommendation.

A simple way to check is to temporarily use a car battery.

Personally I prefer 1 psu per motor, as our rigs generate significant spikes.

    thank you for your help
The best way is the car battery, because the internal resistance of the car battery is small, which is more conducive to discharge. However, each charge is inconvenient.
I will buy another power supply according to your suggestion, and two motors will be powered separately.
    thanks again.

    hey :)
movement with the new position looks very nice and smooth

is it possible to share a photo of your axis settings in simtools?

    thank you:)

I have a problem with the power supply. I feel that the power is insufficient. The motor should move slowly. My settings can only be used as a reference. When my new power supply arrives, there should be better settings.

I ordered a new power supply. I hope it will bring me a better feeling. When the power supply arrives, I will update my video.

Take a rest today, my new 800w power supply has arrived, and I will do some finishing work today.
    [IMG][IMG]

I use the replaced power shell to store the power board and control board, and use the original fan to dissipate heat.
    [IMG][IMG]

This is the fixed position of the control box.
