yes 15.4nm measured with a rod of one meter above the kitchen scale, and spring 100% on wheel config software.
66A at 10.5v more does not go due to the 66A power supply.
this engine also swallows 150A in the starting point, but I believe in stalling it is founded

How many watts is the motor ?
Can you run it 24v ?

absorbed inrush 150A at 24v on a scooter.
while now as a steering wheel it stops at 66A 12vcc which is the limit of my power supply (I think it reaches 66A when the voltage drops to 10.5v)
the engine from what I can read from the nameplate and 48v 0.75kw. the engine is 20 more years old .. robust products of the past

If you needed more torque running it at 24v should help out

It is hard to find products like this today !

I think the couple he generates now is enough, since everything has always worked.
it was very difficult to find such well built engines.
although before this I was looking for 1.5kw treadmill motors that can be an alternative to try

Hi! How are you? I am new here and also in the project, I do not understand much of the subject, but little by little I am improving. I am about to build the simulator with arduino leonardo and bts7960, I have several images to fix the connections with the arduino boards, but I don't know what it is all I need to carry out this project, what boards to use, motors, and anything necessary. If someone can help me and explain what I need, I would appreciate it!

3kg in a 10cm from the center is 10 times less then from 1 meter. So it's 0.3 Nm.

of course, bone at 1 meter, has 14 nm is more than 30 times the power, right? incredible, so if it is efficient, the g27 consumes 42w maximum peak and this 450w maximum peak, but it gives more than 30 times the power, right? interesting, it would be necessary to know if the motor makes high-pitched noises, but it is very good if it is,
I use a translator, excuse me.

What are you talking about? If you don't measure the torque with 1 meter scale bar, you should divide your result from where it was measured from 1 meter. So hard to comprehend?) 3kg in a 10cm from the center is 10 times less then from 1 meter. It means 0.3 Nm. if you will measure it as it should be with now scaling.

If I understood you, I am giving you the reason, I say that the diy engine of the tutorial is efficient because it has more force than the g27, with a consumption of 10 times more gives 30 times more force, I do not know if you understand what I want to tell you, I'm sorry I don't know English, I use the translator very little and misunderstand.

I do not know how these engines will feel, but it seems very inefficient if we compare it with a g27, my g27 measuring it with that same scale 10 cm from the axis, hooking it to the side of the steering wheel gives me almost 3 kilos, and only with 2 small engines .

Its ok to say an odd things, and then understand it)

new ratio, new setup, new torque test...
and it get stronger, and still fast........

The video is quite blurry but very interesting. So is 9.8nm your max or just where you set it at for the video?

sorry for bad video, i just have old phone...
in my video, i set it to 100% steering stop, i test it at the steering stop soft lock position, and thats just holding torque...

If you pull the scales, it's kinda additional torque made by you, and the measurements are doubtfull.
Why this method? Why not bring 0-100% Spring with 100 % of spring saturation, or with 100% Spring bring the saturation up, by putting the spring desktop effect ON. And fix the scales without holding it.

Old phone new phone I am just glad you posted the video. What Sieben said does make sense as far as testing though. I cannot imagine how many hours you must have spent building this rig...Keep up the good work.

you need better proper workbench to do that like you say, and i only have what i got...

but btw, action and reaction is equal. steering wheel pull the scale or me pull the scale when the soft lock hits, that will bring around the same number...

and thats why i do it when the leverage on top, thats eliminating the gravity too...

I mean it jumps back and forth. With turned wheel and then spring applied, more convenient.
