    Hi Bo, congrats, very good work in very short time.

    Before you are going to test the rig check out if all is working fine so far. That said, if one motor is not working properly you rig could be damaged. Probably the lever could be too long, the motors are not so powerful holding the weight of you and your seat, not to mention if you are racing over bumps and curbs...:) Good luck anyway.

    EDIT: you are on a flight sim, so slower moves are to be expected.

    How thick are the rods, as they will be subject to considerable loads?

    The rods are 1/2” or about 13mm in diameter.
    They will carry my heavy arse (200lbs or 90kg) quite well so far. But I am awaiting three gas springs to take some of the load and help the motors a bit.

    It will be interesting to see how the rods hold up over time.

    Personally I would slip over some steel tubing with large washer and lock nuts either end to provide addition strength.

    @noorbeast I will certainly plan on that if they look like they are starting to bend. Thank you for the idea!

    I am very surprised by the power of these motors. I have the arms set at 101.6mm
    (4 inches) CTC and the power is fantastic! The motors do get hot after a little while with me on it. Therefore I am installing the gas springs before I damage something.

    To be honest at the latest when he adds the pedals.

    @Bo Howell Gas springs may help, on the other hand they have a maximum rate of cycles per minute (possibility of overheating, loss of pressure etc.)

    Nice work. very much like the unit I want to build. My motors are rated 24volt 200 watts continuous and 1200watts peak.I may have lots of questions when I get my build going
