Ok, well last night i started on my project. Came from the local electronics store with my zener diodes and resistors, took off the rear part of my playseat, dissasembled it and headed for the garage. I have been saving metal from various places, packrat johnny :D made with what i have so far work

here is what i have done so far... i am using as a pivot a honda inner tie rod 8)

note, i am removing the left and right plate on the playseat...its on now just for measuring the height and the positioning of the seat.... i am bolting the lower attachment to the frame..therefore being able to use the pedal and wheel attachment with the adjust-ability it originally had.

One littlesuggestion for improvement: Why don't you send me the two SCN5 actuators and drive your sim with the V-Twin from that nice Fatboy? Driving it should feel like a bullride on acid.

    Sorry for OT

:) second night and brought home a couple of stabalizer links from a Odyssey i had lying around to keep the cockpit from rotating.
Finally got it almost all done, had to, need my playseat to get back to some racing :D
now all that is left is the placement of the actuators on the rear bar when i finally open up my piggy bank, and the attachment of the playseat slider, so i can adjust my pedals and wheel as needed.
here are a few pics and a video.

Nice work so far. I did a playseat conversion as well but I just used the front end and ajust using the t-slot framing. Not as easy as before but I hardly need to adjust.

just trimmed off some excess metal, went to spray paint it, started a few strokes and then left it, last thing i need is paint on the bike  . Waiting on the power supply, and end rods, then I can order the actuators...those will take a couple of days, local supplier.

I just got my actuators the other day too! They DO look small compared to what I thought. Are you done building yet? I really wanna see how your playseat turned out. Just curious why you chose to go the playseat route also..

I went the Playseat route as well because I already had it and the seat was comfortable enough for me. I also wanted to have a fully adjustable steering and pedal attachment since you cannot move the seat once the actuators are attached.

See my post also for some pics of my setup for additional ideas as well

Great job man on the sim. Congrats!
What kind of u-joint or ball joint did You use for the pivot on the seat?
I'm starting my build next week, still gathering all the parts together :)
