Hello guys, I'm trying to get simtools to work with Dirt Rally 2.0 but I have some strange problems.
I have set in documents in the hardware_settings_config.xml file, the exact parameters:

<udp enabled="true" ip="127.0.0.1" port="4123" ExtraData="3" Delay="1" />

in fact it connects correctly to the game, but gives me the telemetry completely off, in virtual axis all the axes start from the center and go to the right immediately afterwards, all except surge, which, racing around the track seems to be the telemetry of the altitude of the place where I am on the track, not heave or pitch, but just the altitude, which it goes left if I go to the lowest places and right to the highest places on the track.

I tried to do all the possible combinations of the values from 0 to 6, both for "Extradata" and for "Deley", but nothing changes, only with some it doesn't work at all.
The other programs work fine, simfeedback (which I set delay to 2), and simhub, all the tests I did with the other programs obviously closed, and trying to run only simtools with the .xml with only the part for simtools.
Patched the game a few times, deleting the xml file, making a lap and putting the values into the file, but nothing, always the same strange problem.

Do you have any idea what else I can do?

a screenshot of what happens, the values increase by themselves as you can see in tuning center, they increase without stopping, they even reach over 10,000 if I leave the game open, even without doing anything

EDIT: sorry I was missing this parameter:
<custom_udp enabled="true" filename="SimToolsCustomUDP.xml" ip="127.0.0.1" port="4123" delay="1" />
Now everything works fine. :D

Hello brother, my dirt has not moved, I have added it as you said

< Udp enabled="true" extradata="3" IP ="127.0.0.1" port="4123" delay="1" />

< Udp enabled="true" extradata="3" IP ="127.0.0.1" port="10001" delay="1" / >

It still doesn't work, only the first one rises. What's going on here

Before getting into other possibilities what patch path are you using to patch Dirt Rally for motion?

The path for patching Codemaster games for motion differs, depending on it being a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows.

32bit is patched to the game install path.

For 64bit Windows Dirt Rally is patched to C:\Users\Your_User_Name\Documents\My Games\DiRT Rally

Thanks noorbeast, but is it possible that the Steam Version uses a different path for the save games, because I can’t find my save games and therefore can’t patch the game for using simtools. Or is it me just getting to old?

Steam installs games to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\

But only 32bit Windows Codemaster games are patched to the install directory.

For 64bit Windows Dirt Rally is patched to C:\Users\Your_User_Name\Documents\My Games\DiRT Rally

I made it, it now works, but to be honest I don't know why. But it works and that is what counts.

Hi yobuddy,
I have a problem with this plugging, I specify that all the rest of the games work nickel
but with DIRT 2 it does not work
I also specify that I have already written what was needed in the Xtlm files
and when I look in TUNING it displays crazy values like 6593 for pitch or 1756 for Surg
A generous girl would have an idea

There is nothing to edit by hand, just patch the game and your done.
Take care,

indeed my access path to the patch was not perfectly placed and caused crazy values, thank you very much:thumbs
