    Hello,
I want to build a generic purpose FFB steering wheel, mainly ETS2 and maybe some racing games.I have found this motor JGB37-540B which has stall torque of 45kg.cm at 200rpm and 12V 3A.Would i get an adequate amount of force feedback?Say to a logitech g27/g29?
    Thank you

that is not a direct drive motor - it is a geared motor and is not suitable

How is it not suitable? Most steering wheels have a dc motor and some gearing to increase it's torque. This achieves the same thing. Please be more precise.

the direct drive wheels have no gearbox

effort is required to turn the gearbox and this will create a strong resistance - there will be no sensitivity in the feedback

Yeah but all wheels that are not direct drive have a gearing to increase their torque. How is this any different?

Not all gearings are created equal) May depend.

It's 30:1.The problem is that i don't know if the sensor measures CW and CCW movement. The seller says that it measures neither which is probably false, else why would it have a hall effect sensor module. So his words are not to be trusted.I am trying to avoid having to buy an external rotary encoder.

If it's an actual gear with cogs, then small movement of the wheel or ffb will be horrible, as with cogs there are small gaps between them which will reduce the feeling a lot.

I think they have helical gears, from what i have seen in some teardown videos.
