    To the Admin and moderators.
I am trying to enjoy what this forum has to offer but whatever ads system you are using is seriously killing my buzz. I am on and have been on several forums in the past. This one is by far and away the most frustrating.
I fully understand the need and desire for revenue for operations but this method is not going to get you positive results.
I seriously have up to 20 ads loading at a time and trying to navigate threads on my phone is a nightmare.

Please reconsider dropping down to an ad or two. I would search for whether you offer ad free for fee except navigating the site is frustrating.
Please take this criticism as constructive as I plan on being here for some time and buying the related software if my concerns are noted.

    Thank you,
    Jeremy

I don't mind the ads on the PC browser, but in the mobile version it gives these really annoying pop up ads that hide the whole screen!!! This mustn't be good...

Yeah AdSense ads keep getting more and more aggressive every year even though there are more people on this site now than ever to click on them. I guess the philosophy is if I can double ad clicks by doubling membership then I can quadruple them by doubling the amount of ads. And yes using this site on a cell phone really sucks now because every thirty minutes when you click on a thread you get a dedicated popup that you have to close before you can even view the thread. It makes me feel like I 'm just another head of cattle being forced thru the gate :(.

I exclusively use my cell to browse as I am on the go a lot. This is what one page looks like as a user on a phone:

Sorry for the multi posts of the same image but that further illustrates how cluttered everything is that I cannot even formulate a post correctly.
Is the purpose of the forum to support the product SimTools or is the purpose of the forum to generate ad clicks?
There is other motion sim software out there and this forum does not exactly make me want to go with SimTools as a consumer.

    I agree.
I spend $22 a year as a "Gold Contributor ", I run an ad blocker and I still must see the annoying DOF REALITY ad.

It is up to @RaceRay to decide about ads, SimTools (software) and Xsimulator.net (community and community developed plugins and projects) are two different entities, see here re the relationship: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-and-xsimulator-partnership-explained.275/

    Membership should remove ads: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/account/upgrades

@RaceRay will need to have a look at that, as it seems at odds with the paid membership benefits.

Indeed, with Gold membership on desktop I still get two distracting DOF Reality banners on every page, even when just viewing my profile details. I'm guessing they're hooked into the page in some special way since they seem to be the only ads still showing up.

Something else is going on on mobile: even while logged in, skimming down one page of a thread I see the two DOF reality, solar energy, Microsoft, Geico, two Boost Mobile, and Best Buy.

    Can you check again, please?

Do you still get the popup ads or are they disabled as well, now?

I'm not a gold contributor so I have to deal with annoying DOF REALITY ads. But how much longer do I (we) have to keep seeing their Christmas specials ads on every single fricken page? For God's sake its the middle of February already :think!

Good catch. I've informed DOF Reality about this.

    Thanks @BlazinH :cheers

:) Glad I am not the only one :)

Strangely, I get no ads on the PC, but am drowning in them on my cell,.... no idea why.

Anyways,.... sometimes less is more :)

The cell version of the forum sucks. I always switch on the "Desktop site" mode on my Chrome on my phone..
