But it’s not necessary to have it as part of a motion plugin.

What I have been trying to explain is that air turbulence is an invisible force, you cannot see it. Therefore there is no reference frame. There is no requirement to link it to any flight sim.

It could be an additional plugin named ‘turbulence effects’ that would randomly provide force to the actuators giving the realistic effect of turbulence.

MFS2020 will map turbulence and their effect on the aircraft at a thousand points across the flight surfaces based on the actual weather, ground and buildings. But yes, you could generate sudo-random data for a simulated turbulence. A developer would just need to implement it if he thought it necessary. None have at this time.

Hello, @yobuddy can you ask ipacs to send you the new sdk dec 2019, they said the will send the new sdk to developers who are intersted in, maybe with this sdk a working plugin is possible, the sdk is not offical released its only for developers

Hi, just wondered if you’d had chance to see what the new SDK offers?

I haven’t downloaded it. I do suspect that it is more about modelling, but my technical skills are not up to inspecting its capabilities. I emailed Torsten at IPACS and asked him if it would address the telemetry issues but got no reply.

I suspect the non response pretty much answers your query :(

Let's hope MS FS2020 is not so hard headed. I have not used, or purchased anything for FS2 since telemetry was dropped.

MS FS2020 has been publicly demoed on a motion sim, supposedly running SimTools, so fingers crossed the early signs are good it won't go the way of FS2, which I have now uninstalled and regret buying: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...-new-flight-simulator-2020.13500/#post-190071

Yes, I should also uninstall it and free up allot of storage space, as I have the game + 8 DLCs. What a waste of money...

    Hi Andreas here

Because this plugin doesn't seem to work anymore, I looked at the SDK for Aerofly FS2 and wrote a new GamePlugin. It delivers Roll, Pitch, Yaw, Surge, Sway and Heave via UDP Packages.

Everything is working well here with my DOF reality P6, but I'm new here and it's my first plugin for motion platforms and vb.net, also it's not my main coding language. Anyone interested in testing this?

    Download my plugin here:
    http://www.ewe-software.de/downloads/sonstiges/Aerofly_FS_2_GamePlugin.zip

Download the sourcecode here, if you wish:

    http://www.ewe-software.de/downloads/sonstiges/sourcecode_aerofly_fs_2_gameplugin_telemetry.zip

It based of the plugin sample code by yobuddy. Thanks yobuddy!

    Happy flying :)

Just tested it. Thanks for this. Works well with my 2 scn5 simxperience set up.
A bit juddery first off so added 10% smoothing to roll and pitch (I only tend to use those 2 with just a seat mover)
Forgot to patch game first of all so thought it wasn't working.
Been a while since i added a game.
    Good stuff. thanks again.

Nice :thumbs, although has the issue with slow data updates from the game/SDK been fixed?

It looks like, but I never downloaded an previous SDK version. So I don’t know. Also I used there external_dll sample code and coded my own dll which sends UDP data to the GamePlugin dll. The update rate for this is roundabout 10 times per second.

Hi Andreas and welcome here. And thanks for the plugin ─ what a way to introduce yourself!:cheers

I'll certainly give it a try. Though I must confess I don't see me fly AFS2 much more once FS2020 has VR support. The only reason might be FPS. Only a couple of days ago I was accepted as Alpha tester and have only a few hours flying time in FS2020. But AFS2 now looks, kind of, how shall I express myself... ridiculous? No traffic, all waters as STILL satelite pictures, the LEGO buildings in non-DLC-zones...

But allow me a quick question: can you code in C++? You can get a rich man ;) if you can fix and expand OVRIE and maybe even help us for a completly new solution! Please head over to this thread.
    Greetz.
