Just started playing around with this too.

I'll checkout that YouTube channel too, thanks.
Some other YouTube channels I've found so far are "Lars Christensen" and "Product Design Online"- they seem pretty good!

Another good source is this guy (Angus) - "Makers Muse" on YouTube. Good mix of F360 and 3D print videos.

PS - Lars (linked in your post @occhiso) is actually a trainer for Fusion 360. He has some excellent videos on the Autodesk academy.

Does it have any software limitations?

I've been using the hobby licence for a couple of years now, you seem to get the full program without any obvious limits.

You also get all the updates.

I'm using an old version of the Autodesk Inventor. Maybe it's time for a change.

I use Rhinoceros for most of my cad work. I actually have a education licence for Fusion 360 but my laptop (which i use the mostly for cad) can't handle it...
Great program but very taxing on older hardware unfortunately ...

    Hello,

For my hobby/amateur CAD/CAM requirements, I use FreeCAD and Fusion 360. I have found Fusion 360 to be a wonderful addition to my small personal machine shop and 3D printing requirements. In my machine shop, I have a Tormach PCNC 1100 CNC milling machine, and a Tormach SlantPro 15L CNC Turret Lathe. Fusion 360 has Post Processors for these machines, which makes it convenient for generating machine code. for 3D printing, Fusion 360 can Export your CAD geometry in STL format to be further processed by CURA, or other application that can take in the STL file and generate the G-code that the 3D printer needs.

Also, for hobby and educational needs, AutoDesk offers a free license. Yes... Fusion 360 is Cloud based, but that is not a problem for most folks. One thing to note... Fusion 360, like almost any CAD/CAM software, can have a steep learning curve. However, there are plenty of Fusion 360 tutorials on YouTube that can teach you the basics. Anyway... Fusion 360 has been a blessing my my current full-scale B737-800 flight simulator project with its 6dof motion platform.

No doubt that Fusion 360 is a serious CAD application that can meet the needs of most any user.

I used free Fusion 360 now for some simple designs for 3D printing (mainly parts for my DIY motion rig) and found it's still a good choice. One minor issue may be saving models is restricted up to 10.

Here is an additionla link to 360 tutorials in german language .

Like 10 models in a project? Or just 10 models and thats it?

Autodesk sais that you can use 10 active "documents" simultaniously. That does not mean you can only have 10 documents, but you have to set them to inactive. Means: in a project you may have 20 models combined in a module, so you have to set 10 of them as inactive, they are still present but can't be modified. If you have to modify one of them, just set another one to inactive and activate the one to use.

This is just an interpretation about what they've written on their HP as I haven't reached the 10 documents yet. You can find the information here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/supp...articles/Fusion-360-Free-License-Changes.html
