    Hello

I am a new user of Simtools using PT16 4DOF actuators.

Issue I am having is on Windows 10 64 bit the Game Manager wont start.

Game engine starts but game manager will only start sometimes after a reboot.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I tried .NET fix but nothing solves it.

I cant see a log file to review. When I click it I get a spinning timer icon. Then icon disapears but no Game manager is running.

I checked the Task manager and its not running hidden either.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks
    Chris

Quick update. I disabled the Windows 10 virus scanning completely and also tuned off the firewall. This seems to allow it to start now. Even though I had a firewall rule for it and would not have expected windows 10 virus scanning to cause issues. Will keep the group posted.

It is most likely the Windows 10 virus scanning that is causing it. It picks up Simtools as a false positive virus due to the way that Simtools 'listens' for inputs which can be similar to the way some viruses work. Simtools is of course perfectly safe but I find that every now and then especially after Windows updates, Windows 'forgets' that you have already told it to leave Simtools alone and flags it as a virus and stops it starting.

One option is to disable Windows antivirus and use a third party alternative instead.
