    Just purchased Dirt Rally 2.0 in the steam sale with 60% off which obviously has VR update, happy days.

    Anyway having installed this 2.1 plug-in I had no issues using my current SimTools 2.3.1 in the standard non-VR gameplay with my DOF reality P3 motion platform, (other than swapping the traction axis), so no issues as stated by some people who have moved on to SimTools 2.4 with no motion after a pause of the game or moving to them menus et cetera.

    But I do have no motion in VR mode using my Samsung Odyssey plus windows mixed reality headset using this steam VR settings so I was wondering if there is somebody that has moved to SimTools 2.4 using a Windows mixed reality headset and this plug-in 2.1 that has motion in VR mode and is managed to circumvent or eliminate the other loss motion after pausing or finishing stage?
    I'm on Windows 10 pro 64-bit
    AMD thread ripper CPU
    Nvidia RTX GPU
    And as stated everything is fine with motion as the game patches correctly and works on a monitor setup is just the VR implementation causing issues but for instance project cars 2 VR and SimTools 2.3 works flawlessly so I'm thinking it's a plug-in issue rather than a SimTools version issue?

    I had the same problem with VR no motion.
    You have to start it once in VR and then apply the plugin again for the VR version.

    Are you using Heave in your setup ?

    Can confirm there is an issue with this plugin.

    As soon as I leave the car to go to the menu I lose all motion except TL. The only way to get it back is to exit the game, then exit game engine which is blinking blue in the tray bar, then restart the two. I can also only race once then need to repeat this process.

    @Outatime Thanks for VR setup, that worked however no heave. PM me for heave issue solution as it involves an alternative software solution i'm not comfortable showing here.

    For those getting micro shutters / USB input issues "DirtFix" worked for me.

    Well the other solution is to run your heave axis unfiltered. Soon as you put a smoothing filter on your heave axis the problems occur.

    Could you please reply to my questions a while ago ?

    Heave in Dirt Rally 2 seems to be connected to the road surface only?

    Are there separate values you could use for making the rig move up/down when driving over jumps or into ditches ?

    I have it on 1/-1 in Tuning Center and 9 in GameEngine.

    I feel the rattling of the gravel but NO real heave from bumps and jumps.
    The landing after a jump is only causing a pitch down front.

    I want to have the lift up and fall down effect for jumps.
    Without that DR2 is missing something.

    @Outatime Heave gives you vertical acceleration so if I drive into a ditch for example that gives me a big thump on the heave axis. But most of the takeoff and landing feeling is on the pitch and roll axes as you get the abrupt roll and pitch change when you hit the ground.

    Are you only running 9% on your heave axis though? I run 30% on mine.. I would expect that you wouldn't get any big thumps with that setting, mainly the gravel feeling.

    When I use higher heave values, then the normal road rattle is way to much for a realistic drive.
    It's an uncomfortable ongoing shaking (which in real life would be absorbed by the suspension).
    I want short full up and down movements for jumps and ditches.

    Thank you for the responses. I thought having a lower heave value in Tuning Center will result in faster movement, but I have not realized that it also reduces the maximum way.

    I will give it a try.

    If you set your axis to 9% that will be a maximum throw of 9% of your total actuator movement. Then the tuning center determines how the game telemetry is mapped to that 9%. If you set '1' but the values are going up and down at from 0.5 all the way to 20 in the ditch then any time your game telemetry passes 1 it hits your full 9% axis value. Meaning that a tiny bump or a ditch will feel the same and you are basically clipping the entire time.
