    Hi there,

I was wondering what people's thoughts were on the ideal throw angle/distance for a DIY H-Shifter project, as well as lateral motion across the gate. Anyone made one before with any experience with these things? I was hoping to recreate an action similar to that of the gearbox in a McLaren F1 GTR, as can be seen in a few online videos. Seems to have quite a long throw but a narrow gate. I was thinking about 15° forwards/backwards, and 10° across the gate (per notch). The design I have is probably gonna be 30cm from the fulcrum to the top of the knob, so I think that I might need to go with smaller angles to compensate.
