    Here's an update on the latest suspended Rig. Others rigs are on other posts.
    Right now I have about 30 in. of vert travel (limited by ceiling height: ) and more tilt than needed. Sway and serge I'm hoping for about 30 in.+ as well. I would love to show you this in action but I'm have limited time for the next month or so. I'll update when I'm up and running again.

    Do you have some loose in the cable with fast movement ?
    Do you have some lag that cause nausea ?

    Hi, Getting time to continue the build
    1st cable version 2 axis.

    This was the next version. 3 axis! I liked these because the pivot is above the cog. I could run this about an hour before i started to get queasy. Had traction loss on this one and a true 6 cable hanging rig

    I'm using 24 v wheelchair motors on 12 v power-supply with 3 in pulleys. Sorry the two Rigs in the videos have been scraped for the upcoming 6 dof. Should have kept one to race with : )
    Here is a photo of the drive. Might need to add counter weights to take some strain off the motors. Will clean up the wiring when I get past the testing stage.

    Positives about the upcoming 6 dof design:
    1. Quiet(see 1st video)
    2. I can take the chair out of the room and put it back together and racing in about 5 mins.
    3. Takes numerous monitor setups. (next upgrade will have 3 32 or 43 in monitors $?)
    4. At startup and shutdown, the rig will be near the floor, so you get in and out like a real car. (might be a bit higher, bad back : ))
    5. With a VR headset this is a very simple 6 dof to put together.

    I hope to run this with the Flypt Mover Interface, but I haven't researched it enough to know if it's compatible with the Kang/Saber combo. (Help)
    ps: as far as the cables getting loose. No problem so far.

    I dont see any issue for you running the Flypt Mover. Its just flipping the directions as required.
    You mentioned about possibly adding counterweight, but I reckon you have a lot more to gain by going 24v.
    I also run the sabertooth with the kangaroo and encoders like you have there.

    How did you incorporate the limit switches?

    Limit switches are easy, just loops in the main line with string to the switch.

    JAD, would you mind sending your wiring diagram. I'm ready for power. Just worried about limit switch pins.
    Did you get you switches sorted out. Sorry the way my rig works won't help much.
    Do you have the Actuator #1-6 diagram? I can't find that either : (

    Not sure what you mean by the wiring diagram and Actuator Diagram? You seem to have it sorted when you did 2 and 3 dof? Just more of the same?
    My rig is here for reference, but ignore the first half of the thread, I was wasting time mucking around with dead end ideas. I was trying to be too cheap.

    Ive got a few pictures of the wiring and a sketch on post 48.
    Let me know if your after something else.

    Ive got a single bottom limit switch for homing and so far so good with that.
    Its nice and easy now for homing in that it just drives one direction down to the bottom and stays there ready for me to get in.
    Since I finish each session with it bottomed out, Its near instant to home on the next session. Ive got it down to a single button click using the Simtools quicklinks.

    Thanks, this really helped. I wasn't that confident about my config. Had my limit switches on the L & R 2. Don't know why I did that.
    I did have things sorted out with lots of help for my first couple of Rigs, but that was all Simtools. This is my first FlyPT rig.
    It's great that the rig start at the bottom for me. Time to put power on.

    It looks like you need to add the 100% values to the axis assignments and re-arrange the forces.

    I havent got into FlyPT's Mover yet so I cant be sure if that is all you need to look into.
    Im still experimenting with Simtools and coming to understand the axis assignments and tuning relationship.

    I think FlyPT can work the way it is for my one off. I just imagine everything upside down. : ) FlyPT has such great potential to be able to program the way I need!
    My problem I think, is just getting the correct versions of software and plugins to work together.

    Hi FlyPT. I see from Pierre's project you're working on an upgrade to Flypt! Don't worry about mine till you're done with the upgrade. No use helping me out now and then when the upgrade is done! : ) Might be able to do it on my own!
    Just a thought for the upgrade:
    Is there any chance the X,Y,Z Center of rotations be independently adjusted on the center line? It would be great to have yaw fwd of pitch for traction loss and acceleration. With pitch different than roll
    something like this:
    Roll Z [ 000.0 ]mm on CL
    Pitch Y [ 000.0 ]mm Z [ 000.0 ]mm
    Yaw Y[ 000.0 ]mm on CL
    Also a note in [Defining Hexapod] for the Axis #1-6. I could just be missing something.
    I know this is a big ask, but would be great for driving dynamics.
