    Awesome project!
I'm wondering if the software works also with sensored bldc motor driver.
    Does it?

Actually @Alexey put some image on wiring a BLDC controller in the first pages of this thread, but I don't know how it ended up...

I wanted to build my own ffb wheel base with a 400w BLDC motor. With some gearing, I calculated a nominal torque of 7.5Nm at 1000 rpm at the wheel. The peak torque should be definitely higher. Basically I was looking to build something more or less powerful as a Fanatec Clubsport v2.5, but definitely cheaper. Currently with some cost estimation, I can get controller, driver, motor and PSU for 160-180€, which compared with a 549€ wheel base it definitely cheaper...

The only thing I need is the FFB software. I can make it on my own, but it will require me too much time to figure out FFB over USB interface and stuff like that. Thank you for your help!

I just found out that the software for arduino was proposed by @auryza . I found in some video that it has more signal options for the controller (PWM+DIR, PWM+/-, ...) I was just wondering if it was supporting signals for BLDC. Does it?

    Thank you!
I didn't want to use a cable to the buttons on the steering wheel. So I built a sliping rings for the connection between the arduino and the buttons. I used a hollow shaft, the cables there are in it.

    Nice build @tomthomas21 !
What motor are you using? It seems quite fast!

    Thank you!
I used a Denso 45200 05271 power steering servo motor from a Toyota with 4:1 ratio. I measured 14 Nm on the steering wheel with 67% performance (power supply: 12V 480W).

I forgot to ask, which is the output power of the motor? And what you mean for 67% performance?

I dont know the motor output power, so I wrote the torque. The main gain can be controlle from the software, so with 67% setting I measured 14 Nm torque on the steering wheel.

I used HTD-5M timing belt with 60 and 15 teeth pulleys.

Hi guys , Just finished 1st stage build of my Reduction drive FFB wheel and Wow @tomthomas21 just seen you rig , that is some nice engineering and loved the slip rings idea , thanks for posting .. just wanted to add thanks fo @Sieben for the info that go me on this journey , attached ia my 1st attempt at proper Build , but already im thinking I need 4:1 instead of my 3.25 :1 .

notice you guys seem ok with putting electronics inside the wheel housing , I thought vibration might have been an issue so I had mine in separate housing .. Trying to put togather and assembly slide show an will post it on youtube once done .. also will start my own build thread , but as mentioned ....big thanks guys for the inspiration and all the help .
