I've been looking at this for myself so I tried this yesterday it works to cancel the noise 100% I turned the shakers up to full with no interference at all BUT after more testing could not get rid of after wobble from the chair moving I tightened up the elastic to the point the noise was worse than I started with
    20190407_111223.jpg

So I ended back here with acoustic foam and elastic it removes near all the noise has no after wobble at all I may improve on this with an acoustic foam sleeve

With a graphic as well I have this working pretty much perfick
I may give the new sib vibe another go now weeeeeeee

I have removed all of the noise from rumble packs at full volume with a £2 gel pack between the controller and chair AWESOME

I made smthg similar, no luck. It either catch vibrations when bolted too tight, or gets wobbly on the chair movement when loose. Only thing that worked somehow is pressing it with hand. Human body seems to be the best thing for absorbing vibrations :)

HypaGel Reusable Hot & Cold Pack - Standard (Pack of 2)

I have folded over an end to keep it pumped up and with the sleeve on do the elastic up super tight. The gel pack is heavy smaller would be better or glue something on the chair for the gel pack to hold on too mines a small strip of foam

Here is my version of gel pack support. 2 sacks of gel sandwitched between 2 mounting plates (or whatever they called in English). Of course, no metal parts are in direct contact with vibrating chair support.

No motion after-wobble with tightly fastened bolts whatsoever.

It does effectively eliminate jitter from engine noise (I play Elite and Il-2 for the most part), makes fast recovery and doesn’t allow for lasting effects from cannon fire. However, low rumble, coming from weapons fire and explosions still affect it, albeit far from non-playable level they do with plain rigid suppot. Not perfect solution by far, but passable for now.

Still thinking on how to improve it.

I have a full 550 watts pumping me out of my chair now and with the elastic done as tight as it goes I get no physical movement at all. Can I suggest you replace the nuts and bolts with 4mm elastic wound through the holes

This set up is still working 100% untouched months later.
When I started out with this it was 2 weeks away from the 'hopefully' update and github was alive with worried peeps
