    Hi,
I am satsified with my 2DOF rig, now running with sabertooth 2x32.

But a gear change (e.g. in project cars 2) is very hard, as the surge value is changing very quick.
This is not feeling like in a real car.
So, any idea how to smoothen the gear change in terms of rig movement ?
Is the only chance to change the surge values inside tuning center (higher max value, lower min value) ?

    cheers,
    Arazok

You will likely need to try a higher value in the Tuning Center to soften surge.

Yes, that's what I thought. Higher values for max, Lower values (or higher negative values) for min

Doesn't this reduce the amount of movement though?

Increasing the TC value will give a slower response over a greater movement range.

Of course, I had it backwards.
    Thanks.

That's the reason why I was asking.
Is there anything to change the behaviour of the rig in terms of a gear change without touching/changing the movement of the rig with regards to acceleartion/deceleration or surge.
So to smoothen only the gear change, not the rest....

Please post pictures of all of your settings and if possible a video that shows the rig movement and game screen at the same time.

Have you manually offset the Max/Min values, if so try reducing our eliminating the difference in values.

Video would be feasible earliest on weekend.
But now you are irritating me, saying that I have to reduce the difference in min/max values.
I thought to smoothen the movement, you have to increase the max value and decrease the min value (larger range), but this would increase the differences in values...

I am not suggesting you reduce the values, what I am saying is that many members manually set a different Max and Min value to amplify gear change effects. If you had done that then what I was suggesting is that you pick the higher value and use it for both Max and Min values.
