I was about to, but I'm worried by the lack of infos (like the RFA) and reading through the lines I hardly aspect them to deliver the product by november '18

I could really use a new set of peddles though...

EDIT: I bought into the earlybird deal for the pedals @ 149.99 plus 20.00 for shipping.

In response to @bruce stephen 's comment on software; I was watching Shaun Cole's Q&A on the wheel and pedals and he indicated that Feel VR has their own software to set up the wheel, etc.

lol I pledged for the peddles also. all metal and loadcell for $169 seems like a pretty good deal.

I was looking at purchasing them but I really have a feeling that they need a little more experience in the field. The tech demos that I saw were not in actual cockpits but a desktop setup. If you are trying to simulate something I would think you would do all that you can to add to the experience. The easiest way to make a sale is to eliminate as many objections as you can from the get go. I honestly hope that they succeed because I believe it will force a lower price point to reach for competitors. We live in a really great time for all the new options that are being offered to us.

I certainly hope that they refine the hardware, eliminate the 3D printed parts move towards either injection molded plastic or something similar.

3D printed parts aren't exactly long term or confidence inducing for a commercial product.

Haven't heard much from them since the initial prototypes were reviewed by guys like SRP, The Simpit & the old ISRTV crew.

Wishing them well though, as the more competition there is out there the better for the consumer.

currently it seems their indigogo-page is the most active in terms of updates:

    https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/feel-vr-the-affordable-direct-drive-racing-wheel#/updates/all

some vlogs also on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/feelvr/

they mentioned somewhere they would exactly do that: replace 3d-printed parts with molded (? not sure) parts or at leasts something that's for one mass production ready and also more durable.

I have backed it but I have no experience on the different wheels and pedals to be able to make a comparison

    I backed exactly the same.

I now have a thrustmaster TX wheel and pedals. In a VR cafe I used a SimExperience Accuforce PRo V2 and fanatec pedals with loadcell. In short: With the DD wheel I thought I had a better idea on how the car reacted to my steering input and could more easily correct it when I overdid it. With the pedals I felt it required less concentration/focus to hit the same brake-point again going through the laps. Well, just like it should be, right? Expect the FeelVr to be the same...

Sorry to bump, does anyone know if they're using a custom designed steering wheel or is it an off the shelf one?

you should find the answer to your question in the links below, but in short, afaik for the GT rim it's a shelf-rim with custom buttonbox/pcb. For the formula rim i don't know.

the lack of updates is really painfull. Again another month gone after they made the survey for the adresses. But as a ship maybe took 8 weeks from the states to europe...
Anyway - perhaps we got the pedals #soon and the wheel before christmas...
