The noise of the actuators is actually not that loud in person. If I could get this squeal to go away it wouldnt be an issue. My wife cant hear it a room over...its only the whine when shes in the room that is a nuisance.

my house is 4500sqft, we have plenty living rooms, we just like to spend the time near each other. My arcade area is in the basement but theres also a second kitchen and living room next to it so its not like its a dungeon, space gets used is what Im saying. Garage has cars and motorcycles and my shop gets wood and metal all over it....dont want it in my office...Its perfect where it is....except that damn noise....My parts are good fit prints and my bearings are greased to slide well so my main noise is that damn whine...i tried to throw sound proofing around it...that didnt work, it was like it pierced it....I'll pay more for an actuator...I jsut neeed to know what to get. My knowledge there is slim but I can research and know more now then I did a few weeks ago.

Nothing to do with the high pitch sound that I don't hear anymore since I'm over 50, but I like to point out something I loved about your rig.

In the video, you just sit, make a few clicks and you're ready to go. No assle just to get in, no assle with the VR. If I want to use mine, I have to call the Nasa to get it ready for lauch. Seriously, it takes 10 to 15 min just to set it up.

I hope you get the origin of that wissle and get rid of it easily. It a nice rig and it would be a shame to put it to rest.

Thanks! That was it for me. I used to have random issues with my JRKs, I didnt like the way the seat would flex when I wasnt using it for simulation. My friends that were simple wheel racers were always making fun because I was fixing or settings something up more than I was playing. I feel like everyone has taken notice of the noise, Im a bit of a pain in the ass and now others hear it more, maybe because I drew attention to it....the good thing is the answer back isnt wear headphones anymore.....if I have to I'll build rectangular boxes with sound proofing material and cover the servos. They dont make any heat so thats not a concern of mine.

    Hi @shannonb1
I bought one of these sets for testing a few weeks ago sorry had to ask did you or any other member buying similar sets get caned with extra Import Duty , Mine came via Fed Ex and they Added £60+ pounds in Duty taxes , so wondered if i was just unlucky or seeing as how im going to need another 3 sets need to factor this in the prices as well.

The set i bought was Circa £230 inc shipping for 1 set , Annoying thing is FED Ex have missed 3 Promised delivery Dates and my set is stilll in ther DEPOT ...so what with having to stump up that tax i now have another delay before i get to attach this to my New 150mm Throw Linear Actuator ... More Cut down of my Design than SFX100 but principle is same ..

    Cheers
