Hello everyone, I spent all day trying to understand the problem, I also searched the forum, there is no apparent solution. I turn the screenshots around so you can see the procedure that leads to the error. I have two SCN5 actuators which work perfectly with another program. I tried to run simtools with the Virtual Sim App, the software works. The actuators work with another software and are centered and powered. Help Me

Try one at a time buddy.
Do you know if your SCN actuators are both connected to a single serial converter?
Or do they both have their own adapter?
    Chat soon,

Sai se i tuoi attuatori SCN sono entrambi collegati a un singolo convertitore seriale?
O hanno entrambi il loro adattatore?
    Chat presto,

Hello, both actuators are connected to cards like this one
    USB-to-Serial-RS232-UART-TTL-RS485.jpg

the two usb cables are connected to a USB hub ,. The hub connected to the PC has been deprived of the power supply wires, red and black, as it created me a power return that damaged my motherboard.
I thought that this configuration created problems, so I connected the usb cables directly to the pc, but the simtools created the same problem.
I also tried with one rocker at a time, but nothing.
The thing I'm sure of, that is a problem between program and actuators, because with another software the actuators work perfectly.
    I'm demoralized.

Hi, I read the FAQs but I don't know how to change an actuator's ID.
I'm just a beginner with Simtools
    Thanks.

    Good evening everyone,
I always have the same problem. Now with the previous experience I have put ID = 0 to both actuators but it doesn't work the same. I am going crazy

Test one actuator at a time and see what happens buddy. (basically, remove interface 2)
(With SimTools 3, you can test one interface at a time if you are using it?)
Let me know how it goes.

    Hi, my friend
I use the version 2.5.3, which gives me this error.
I used version 3, but i am not getting any signs of life from my actuators.
With the actuator software I set both ID = 0, but the error always comes out.
I also tried with only one actuator, same thing.
Several times I have had this problem, i am confident in solving it.

Check the other interfaces (3 thru 6) and make sure you don't have any settings for them.

I try to change ID and change COM, i try every possibility but the error message return.
I try again with Sim Tools 3 - But there is not errore message, the actuator don't move.
With the SNC5 software the actuator is perfect.

Rae you trying to run the SNC5 software and simtools at the same time?
I have a scn simulator here and its working great.

I would set up one actuator at a time, and restart simtools and see if you can get one to move.

I also have a SCN sim. i just changed pc. I tried to use one actuator at a time but same problem. I'll try to figure out what's wrong. I don't use the scn5 software together with XSim, I only use it to set up and test the actuators. We keep up to date.
