    Hi,
I just built a T1000 rig and I noticed Crew Chief app no longer recognizes any speech correctly. I assume it is because Rift CV1 microphone picks up noise from the actuators together with my voice. Any hints or tools to filter out background/actuator noise from the micropone input? Thanks!

You could try to turn down the mic gain/sensetivity if possible. This would also mean that you would have to speak a little more loudly.
If your rig is too loud in general there may not be an easy solution. You could try shielding the mic so that it only faces your mouth in close proximity.

One thing to try is to turn on windows mic monitoring and run your actuators. This will give you an idea of what the mic is picking up from your actuators.

Thanks, I'll play with gain, just surprised that no one wrote noise cancellation filter driver to process input.

I am also thinking of going either MicMod route or getting Fifine cardoid condenser mike (something I'd prefer, because I don't want microphone to be right next to me, like it is with MicMod). Do you think taking different microphone type (cardoid/directional) would help?

A directional mic can help, depends on the room and wether sound reflections from walls get picked up.
Just an opinion however as I personally don't have any experience with this.
