    hi @noorbeast . thank you for your pointer. I Installed direct9 but still no joy.

    I also uninstalled/reinstalled all ms visual c++ jun2010, reinstalled direct, uninstalled/reinstalled game vibe but still it did not work. there is just no output to the buttkicker. very frustrating!

    since the game vibe installation gave no error , the game vibe audio testing worked, and the game vibe fine tune received signals for various inputs, there should be no problem for game vibe to generate output to the buttkicker but so far it is not happening. I am running out of thing to try.

    great joy!!! I got my buttkicker to work again. There were a few things that I did so I am not sure which one has helped.

    1. I downloaded and installed FreeAirmap (http://www.geminisoftware.de/Download.html). The installation asked me to exit Game Vibe and it installed its own version of DirectX and MS visualC++ package.
    2. I started to notice that GameVibe audio test doesnt run the buttkicker anymore where previously it was running. So I brought up windows audio setting and reset the audio to default setting. That still didnt work so I moved the audio output cable to the buttkicker from the front of the computer to the one on the back of the computer. After this all the games are working again.

    The sim is now more complete with the buttkicker working again. This problem had caused me much grief as I couldnt figure out what was wrong. I hope that my procedure above could help someone who might have the same problem.

    the joy was short live. Now it just stopped working and I cant do anything to get it working again.

    For now I just mix the audio output from the game onto the output to the audio card that send the audio to the buttkicker (check this link https://appuals.com/output-audio-multiple-devices-windows-10/). At least this give some feedback when Game Vibe is not working yet.

    @stargazer,
    I can't find any problems with your settings buddy.
    It really seems like some sort of hardware issue you are experiencing.
    If I can think of anything, I will be sure to post a update.
    Take care,

    @yobuddy, I recently upgraded my desktop. I wiped out and reinstalled everything from scratch. Now GameVibe is working perfectly as it should. I am not sure what was wrong before but I am just happy that thing is working well now.
