    Hi all,

Sharing here some photos of a 3d printed sim pedals that I am building. The printed parts are pretty much done. I was little concern about the strength, but seems that they are strong enough for the intended use. I tested the brake pedal with strong springs and feels really good.

I am waiting now for ball joints to attach the spring mechanism and potentiometers for the throttle and clutch, the brake pedal is going to use load cell and I already have them.
I am going to use a arm 32U micro controller to do the HID.

I will share the g-code and the arduino firmware in case someone is interested in building.

Hi. Juandi very nice job will look forward to see it finished.

Just of note: how many spools of filament will you use?

And what filament are you using carbon fibre?

    Jerry.

I really like the work done, I'm curious to see them in action, congratulations.
    how much is the cost?

wow, well done, i really would like to see them working
if you share the design do not share gcode, share the stl files (gcode works only with your 3d printer, stl files works with all the slicers)

    Hi y'all,

@Jerry Atrick, I have use black PLA and more or less for the base and pedals has been around 550 grams, so I have consume half of 1Kg spool more or less. For the parts that I am printing now to mount the springs and pots it is going to be around 220 grs. So the total cost is going to be a very small fraction of the cost of the real ones... https://www.bsimracing.com/dsd-professional-grade-sim-racing-pedals/

Obviously is not going to be the same, but I think that are going to be lot better than the G27 that I am using now.

@dualclick76, I don't know yet, but 1Kg of PLA on amazon is about $30 USD and I have use less than that. Miscellaneous like bolts, nuts, springs, pots, arduino, load cells, etc are not expensive, so I think in total is going to be less than $60USD

@ferslash Sure, I can share the g-code and the .stl files. I someone has a prusa stile 3d printer maybe its easier just to print the g-code. Anyways the base design is not mine creation, I downloaded it form grabcad. I am just modifying it to 3D print them and designing the brackets and mounting parts.

    Very nice!
How about mechanical resistance? PLA is famous for brake down...

Good for design practice. Practical use, Not so much.

Sorry if its harsh, but it is what it is.

@Jerry Atrick Carbon fiber filaments are almost Never any stronger than its normal Counterpart.

    Regular PLA > CF PLA
    Regular PETG > CF PETG

Its more of a visual/apperance thing with CF and the Matte Finish.

Hello @Juandi Your work is very good, it is spectacular.
later I would like to see if you can share the files to print, I am finishing up a Prusa i3.
What type of load cells are you using, how many kg do they support?
what are you going to control them with?
