hello I use an Anet AM8 with Vslot frame of 40 x 20 mm firmware skynet, proximity sensor for auto level and direct extruder stock.
use for the adhesion plate a glass of a 1.1 mm lcd panel.

That is one slick looking Anet A8 custom build my friend, Bravo!!!

I've never seen one made from 80/20 aluminum before.

Beats the crap out of my stock acrylic one.
(Actually I shouldn't be so harsh, as it has served me well)

yes, the frame is very stiff and prints very well for its cost, I only print PLA at the moment, as soon as I finish the PLA I try the PETG

I'd imagine that you will have just as much luck with the PETG as you do with the PLA.

They both print very similar, with PETG being a bit stronger, but without the hassles of ABS.

I print with both and have had great success, skipping ABS entirely.

Best of luck with your new toy, they are not only fun, but extremely useful.

Cheers!

Now I'm using a combination of two printers.

An Anet A8 and also an Ender 3.

Both have been excellent so far, and I've been going crazy with printing off my new obsession....custom steering wheel button/paddle-shifter plates for real automotive steering wheels.

:)

My Hictop at home is in hibernation.
But I have a new toy at my work. A Lulzbot TAZ 6.
I still have a few things to master with it.

Back in August I was using 2 printers, the Creality Ender 3 and a heavily modified Anet A8.

Now I'm up to 10....bloody hell....these things are ADDICTIVE, LOL!!!!!

(1) Anet A8

(1) ADIMLab Gantry v2

(2) Creality Ender 3's
(6) Kingroon KP3-180's.....yes.......6 of them......don't ask me why, they were just a great deal during a price error and I LOVE a great deal, LOL!!!! :grin

By far, 3D printers have been the best addition to my sim racing gear, and helped a TON when making my motion rig.
If you can dream it, then you can make it.
Unless of course it's already been done, then you can just get it off of Thingiverse. ;)

Yup at first i only used it to print those god forsaken fidget spinners :D. But then i learned how to use cad software and it opened up a whole new world !
Also Cadgrab is sometimes even a better source than Thingiverse.
Wow!!!!!
What a deal you got there, Congrats!

Looks solid as a rock, very industrial design.
It must be fun to play around with...I've never tried a CoreXY style of printer before.

A few weeks ago Amazon had a "Lightning Deal" where they were selling them for $119 CAD.

At the time, I already owned one, and knowing how great they are I decided to snap-up 5 more for a mini print farm.

They're great for quickly printing multi-part items (paddle shifters, etc), especially if mixing different colors is the desired effect.

For $120 each it's worth it alone just to have several colors loaded and ready to print, saves having to do filament changes, LOL!!!.

Turns out it was a good move, as now they've increased the price to $219 CAD!!!

The Kingroon KP3-180 is basically a Creality Ender 2 clone with several upgrades such as an aluminum extruder, filament run-out sensor, magnetic build surface, assisted bed leveling, oversized leveling knobs, touchscreen UI, etc.
