Great. Try rFactor 2 and hit all the apex. rFactor suspension deflection is very accurate vs real ones:

I believe that tire deflection and rideHeights movements are very accurate too. The resolution of SCN6 could be high enough to test for this comparison. the spectra is up to 120 Hz for Sim-X SW and 100 Hz for SimTool feed, but I dont expect the SCN6 can produce that high, but shall produce lower modes.

Here is the SCN5 with SimX SW on project car:

Here is the SCN6 with SimTool:

Just a small update. Rear hoop has been added to the chassis which will be used for the harness tension system. received_10211624299862415.jpeg

Harness tension system about half way done. Then it's just finding the balance point of the chassis for u- joint placement and the actuator mounts. Finally getting close to being able to test this thing out.

Looks great. You're build is similar to what I am planning on making. I was going to recreate a setup like this but with pgsaw motors.

Chassis is wrapped up, other than a couple of odds and ends. Balance point has been found. Finally starting to see the finish line.

In anticipation of fabrication getting wrapped up, I decided to take care of mounting all of the various electrical components under the platform. Getting anxious to actually start testing this thing out.

Brought the traction loss frame home despite it still needing a couple things done. Mocked it up to figure out the path of the transfer balls through their full range of movement. Need to get the plates cut for them to ride on which are made from 1/8" stainless. Trying to take care of the small things like this so once everything is ready to be assembled I don't have things slowing me down.

Working on getting the u joint mounted. Then its just mounting the actuators and a few odds and ends. Decided since it's been over a half year since I've done any sim racing, I should connect everything to the pc and fire it up and make sure everything is working. I was still using mmos, switched over to Simucube. Also upgraded to a biss encoder and got that configured. Just have a loose wire in the fanatec adapter to take care of so the wheel works. Everything else is functional, pedals are still on the rig at the shop, but don't anticipate any issue with them. Rig construction should be completed by next weekend.

Actuator standoff mounts are just about wrapped up. Time to get them mounted on the rig!

Fabrication complete! Getting the traction loss frame powder coated, hoping to be assembling this weekend. Completed length was a few inches longer than my initial plans. So I had to build a new platform for it. Decided to lower it and heavily reinforce any area where weight will be sitting.

Spent a little time cleaning up the chassis. It will eventually get powder coated but want to test it for a while to make sure everything holds up and no modifications need to be made. It would look great polished, but I don't think I have the patience to do that. Started assembly today. Pick up the traction loss frame from powder coating in the morning, so I should have it completed tomorrow.

Fairly productive day so far. Pressed the transfer balls into the traction loss frame. Got the plates aligned and screwed down. Installed u- joint and got the cockpit bolted to the u- joint. Currently waiting for ups to deliver the bolts to mount the actuators.

Just some loose ends to wrap up at this point. Nice to finally see it more or less complete after 8 months from the start.
