2dof + loss traction or 3dof ?

    I have 3 gear motors by Pgsaw. And I'm with the following question, build a 2dof + loss traction or 3dof.

    I would like to know which is the best option.

    Hi Francisco. Answer these questions. Is your main passion racing or flight? Can your motors heave the required weight?

    Normally for racing go with traction loss and for flight heave. However heave is very important for racing too but generally requires more speed & torque than heave for flight in order to feel both fine road details and surface elevation changes. Therefore bottom line is your motors capabilities will largely determine what you're able to implement.

    The simulator is for racing. Maybe I use it from time-to-time to play roller coaster.

    12V 180W would likely be under powered for 3DOF and better suited to 2DOF +traction loss.

    Do not worry. They support 3dof too, in my case I'm finalizing the traction loss.
    It has several projects using these engines.

    I built a 2DOF with Traction Loss using Simxperience engine. I believe this is the best way for racing sim since the stepper motor actuators can replicate slightest imperfections on the road surfaces.
