Hey guys, Im new to the xsim forums, I was referred here by Nick Moxley, been lurking here for a few weeks reading up on all of your builds.

I currently have a home built multi purpose rig, built from 1" and 1 1/4" square Steel tube. Racing is my first choice, i do however also play some flight sim stuff... DCS and Elite, but not as much as i race.

    flight sim setup.

I am currently in the planning stages of doing a full on rig rebuild which will include 2 seperate and easily interchangable "dashboards" one for racing and one for flight sims, the OSW motor will be mounted to the rig behind the screens, (i currently use 3X 43" 4K screens.) with a quick release setup on the steering shaft to allow it to be removed. and a second flight sim dashboard (thinking of modeling after the F 18)

seeing as the rig will be completly torn apart for this build i am thinking about doing a twofer... and adding motion at the same time. ( i can get some more pictures if people are interested im more pics of the rig build)

being that racing is my number one, i am thinking a seat mover setup with traction loss, and hoping that i can get it to translate into flight sims as well.

now onto the questions that i have that i can find any good answer for.

Are the PGSaw motors still the best way to go? or is there something better out there now? If so this is great for me as i have a friend that lives in the town he is from, and could probably easily pick them up "locally" from him.

as i plan to build a seat mover should i attach the flight stick to the seat and have it move? or am i better to attach it to the static frame?

thanks in advance guys, i will start a build log for sure once i start the actual build for sure.... and here is a quick video of a buddy trying out the rig shortly after i got my OSW setup.

Thanks noorbeast I will take a look at those, as much as I would love to have a 6dof rig the space that I have my rig in would not likely be suitable for a rig of that size.

I was not suggesting a 6DOF rig, but rather it is now possible to build your own DC powered actuators for any suitable design.
