Hey all, got a nice surprise a few days ago, motors arrived. So excited, but im not quite sure how to get it connected to the potentiometer and the shaft that will connect to the rod at the back of my seat. If anyone has any instructions or pics it would be greatly appreciated.

I found a fine-thread threaded rod that was the same diameter as the inner motor axle - if memory serves me it was 12mm - and some nuts and locknuts to go with it. I pinched the threaded rod against the motor axle and also pinched a lever onto the axle. I've had no issues with slipping what-so-ever.
Then I got a flexible motor coupler that had one end inner diameter of 12mm and the other 6.5mm to match the potentiometer axle and connected them up with the pot mounted on a simple standoff.

Hey guys, i'm getting ready to start wiring. Is it okay if the power supplies touch or do I have to keep them separated?

Server power supplies in my experience are case-grounded. Them touching is not an issue - no matter how spaced or close they are, they will still be sharing ground from the outlet.

There is a restriction on how big files can be, so if they are images open them in something like Paint or Gimp and reduce their size.

The pic files are basically the same size as all the others I have uploaded before, taken with the same phone. They are all less than 2mb and the same resolution, so I don't think its a size issue, but since Wednesday I have been unable to upload anything.

Wiring is all done but still cant upload any pics and still haven't gotten my key for sim tools. Will the adruino uno get power from the usb or does it need an adapter?

Any help regarding the adruino board? Does it require an adapter or will it be powered via the usb?

The 5V coming from the USB should be more than enough to power the Arduino and logic for the motor controller.

Wiring almost complete, but still no word regarding simtools license, so kinda just stuck now until then.
