    Hi all,

I currently have a playseat modified with buttkickers, triplehead2go, etc, but now I came across this site and have seen my next project: motion.

But, the problem is I'm no electronics expert. Building a frame is no problem, but don't start with actuators, electronic boards etc.

I've seen a complete package from frexgp, but some members from here say it's too expensive. So my question is: is there a simple solution for hand I can buy, or is someone willing to build me a plug and play package for a price. I'm from Holland by the way.

A picture of my playseat now:

    Greetings and hoping for help,
    Gertjan

    Hi Gertjan,

at first welcome to the board !!!

I also started with a Playseat Evo and upgraded to the next level, the motion simulator a few months before. You can watch my sim thread in the referring section DIY simulators here.

Basically it is not the biggest problem to build a motion simulator, because you will find EVERY information and help here in the forum and you are surrounded with many guys who also have built motion sims by themselves. So you can find many different solutions and types of sims. At the beginning you only need much time to read and sort all the threads here :D !

But if you generally don't want to build resp. do it yourself, I could help you. I'm every now and then in the Netherlands (Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Eindhoven), because I also work for KIA NL - so this could be a good basis :D !

Have fun here and go on with preparing to build your own sim  !

    Best regards,
    Chris

    Hi Gertjan,

nice looking racemachine :) If your budget is enough i suggest you to prefer the SCN5 actuators.
Therefore you don´t need much electronic and soldering skills, because the electronic is nearly complete and ready build.

Also the SCN5 actuators give the strongest and fastest motion effects.

Costs for 2 x SCN5 actuators round about 600 Euros.
    2 x USB-> rs485 interfaces 15 Euro / piece

Some cables (connectors, switch), and 2 small electrical components for the killswitch (resistor and z-diode)

    Look here for more info:

    scn5-hardware-thread-t1083.html
    scn5-software-thread-t1084.html

All other solutions need more electronic and soldering skills, at least the time and motivation to learn the basics about it ;D Here is a good project for a controller for small motors like car wiper motors:

No problem - we also can make an exchange: My sim for one of your caravans :D !
But there's my next idea: Does Fendt need a new photographer for their new models and the actual caravan's line ? Could be me  ! Okay, back on the track...

We all will help you with answering your questions. It's not as difficult as it seems at the first sight.

    Best regards,
    Chris
