Please post your SimTools Interface and Axis Assignment settings.

LFS also needs to be run for a couple of laps before it is patched for motion. So if you had not run it then unpatch LFS, run some laps and then repatch.

    For better image resolution:
    Crlt alt print screen
it creates an image of the current window- then you paste into Photoshop or similar and then name the file.

There are file size limits to what you can upload.

If you need to you can resize an image in Paint and make it a little smaller, but it needs to be readable.

@GhostRacer I have moved your posts to this existing thread or yours, as your issues relate to configuration and it will keep all information about your project in one place.

Can you please post a picture of your Interface Settings.

Your Dir choices in Axis allocations do not look right, normally you would have roll selected for Axis1a and Axis2a for DOF1, same for Pitch but in DOF2 column, and normally one Dir would be checked orange of Roll and the other not, while for Pitch they would either both but checked orange or not, depending on how the motors are wired.

This is the movement SimTools expects, with Dir boxes being checked orange or not determining how each axis/force moves: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/which-way-to-set-simtool-axis-movements.230/

Is there a way to test to see if I actually have communications between Sabertooth,Arduino uno and Simtools ?

Yes you can in SimTools Output Testing.

But first test that every is set and works correctly in SMC3, in the picture the motors are set to off.

Then in the SimTools Interface Settings try setting the BitsPerSec to 500000.

Correct the Axis Assignment Dir and DOF settings, then your can use Output Testing to move the rig.

Ok motors only move a tiny bit in SMC3 and only when you click the on/off they will not stay on unless I unplug the pots and then they will constantly go around and around.
Arduino is wired exactly as in

SMC3-SPS Sabertooth Packet Serial PID motor driver w/SoftStart tutorial
Sabertooth dip switches are 1&2 off 3,4,5 & 6 on
Baud rate set in device manager for Com port 1 Arduino 115200
Buad rate set in device manager for Com port 4 Sabertooth 115200
SMC3_SPS with softstart loaded into Adruino
Dont know how to set mode 3 for Sabertooth!
not sure I have it working right in SMC3 Im getting a bit lost
