    Hi @santanadany ,

first of all, compliments about your sim. Great work!

I'm starting to try the sim 2DOF and I was resigned to buying a PC to use the simulator.
But today I saw this discussion and I'm reborn!
I didn't , absolutely, know about the possibility to connect the PS4 thru UDP protocol.
I saw your project and I ask you, if is possible, to have the mechanical measurements, of your sim.
For electronic and software, I don't have problems. Many with mechanicals.

This evening I will try to connect arduino, PC and PS4.

    Thanks in advance
    Bye

Question about connection , between PS4, PC and Arduino.
Is it correct what I write? PS4 connect to Internet via WiFi - PS4 connect to PC via LAN cable - and naturally PC to Arduino via USB?

There are a number of plugins by @vthinsel in the plugin download section that support PS4 via UDP: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/

Plugin access is either via forum activity coins or real money: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/coins-and-how-to-download-plugins.2/

Hello FrancescoRobert, I think you mustn't connect the PS4 directly to the PC but they have to be on the same local network. So connect the PS4 to your router and the PC to the router. The PS4 will communicate to the PC with UDP throw the router. You may have to put the IP adress of the PC and the PS4 somewhere to make the communication working.

    Hello,
The test about PS4 connection with PC by router UDP doesn't success. I've a big problem because I understand that I connect PS4 and PC to router but the router has only a LAN connection. If I try to use a wifi connection the other connection is interrupted.
May be I need buy a new router with two connection?
    Thanks

no I think your router works fine, you may have a conflict with the IP adress. The PS4 and the PC have to be on the same LAN (local network) and must have different IP adress. The both can be connected to the LAN by wire (RJ45) or wifi. You may have to find the IP adress of the PS4 and fill it in the game manager. If you want to use more wired connections with your router you should buy a switch but not a router.

    Hi @FrancescoRoberto ,
I will explain how I have it configured :

Ps4 UDP via wifi, PC connected to the same wi fi as the PS4, and the PC to the arduino,
I think connecting via ethernet cable is the problem, try only with wi fi on both (Ps4 and PC)

    best regards.

    Hello,
IP address and netmask must be configured carefully on PC and PS4 if not using DHCP. PC and PS4 must be on the same IP network (same subnet mask, same gateway), otherwise you can be sure that the broadcasted UDP packets will be dropped. First step would be to use an ethernet cable between the PC and PS4, by eventually giving coherent static address and making sure the PC can ping the PS4. The simtools should work (do not forget to press the play/triangle in gamemanager too ;) )
