    Hi guys,

So much to read about direct drive, my head is burnt out.
Just ordered/received my HE pedal Pro's and they seem pretty good, but need to stiffen rig.

Now time for a Direct Drive.

Some people say accuforce v2 is really good because of software (I use sim vibe, but wish to retire it in favour of the vibe in simtools when I have chance.)

Some people Say osw is better, bigger, stronger etc etc.

My current find suggests this is best:
    https://www.simracingbay.com/product/simucube-based-osw-kit-sincos-with-acrylic-case/
    • Best servo drive model: IoniProHC 25A
    • Powered with Mean Well Industrial grade PSU 480W or 480/720W
    • 130ST-M15015 with SinCos encoder for 2,097,152 cpr resolution
    €1.149,00

I can't seem to find a better deal, but admittedly, I have no idea what I am looking at. Hence the post!
Any ideas, suggestions, or things I would need to consider before buying this?

    MY RIG:
    2 dof scn5 seat mover
Front is getting rebuilt for DD and my HE pro's (so mounting not an issue)
3rd actuator for traction loss (been sat there for 7 months doing nothing) - waiting on motion cancellation set up but no time.

    OSW RIMS

This is one thing I didn't think if, I have a tx and was hoping at first to use my FXX rim.
Anyone know where to get a conversion?

And where is the best place for OSW rims/button boxes?

    Thanks for any help.
    John

    hi john
I purchased an OSW from simracingbay in may 2017. I cant offer any opinion on the accuforce v2 wheel as I've never used one but thought I would offer you some insight into my experience with the OSW. I had a Logitech g27 before I purchased my OSW so will try to compare to that if its possible.
I purchased the same kit as you are looking at but with the 10000ppr encoder that they supplied with the kit at the time of purchase. Compared to the g27 this wheel is a monster. I use mine at 25% power in game as at 100% power I can hardly turn the wheel and in the event of a crash its like trying to hold on to a washing machine drum on full spin (not that ive tried lol).
The feedback is so fine you can feel the changes in different tarmac, channel drains at the edge of the track, engine rpm, gear changes ect none of which I could feel with the g27.
to be honest its everything I wanted and wouldn't consider changing for anything else ive seen yet nor do I feel the need to look tbh. @MegamanAT was correct about the taxes. I pad €1347.00 for the wheel with the tax and shipping and at the exchange rate as it was back then it cost £1160 and arrived within 2 days of purchase so very happy with simracingbay.
I also purchased some carbon fibre paddle shifters from martin asher racing which are epic £170 and a momo 230mm steering wheel from demon tweeks £227 so add it all together my wheel cost £1557.00 but more than worth every penny to me.
    hope this helps

    Yes that does help.
Got all my HE pedals, shifter, handbrake set up now.
This fisherprice/thrustmaster wheel is so toyish in comparison to the rest of the setup...Im going to take a look again at this osw and perhaps get it ordered.... ;)
