Question plugin update issue

    Could anyone help me about plugin update?
    One of my friend can not update any plugins, because the system does not let him drop plugins into updater.
    The Gameengine and Game Manager is closed, so it should work.
    What can couse such a problem like this?
    He has an Entertainment license of Simtools 2.2, the PC was clean, never had any version of simtools ever before.
    The software is communicate with LFS, but I can not realise what could be wrong with updater to install any other plugins.

    Any idea?
    Help me pls

    And actually He has an other issue as well. He made an acocount here too, but he can not write any post or open a new thread.

    While there are some limitations on a new member they can post, just not some things like links, which is to prevent spammers.

    By any chance are you trying to install SimTools 1.3 plugins into SimTools 2, as that will not work.

    Did the plugins come from theXsimulator.net download page, as these are for SimTools 2: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/

    So when you drag a plugin zip file on to the plugin installer app can you please be specific about what happens and and messageds that are displayed.

    When I drag zip file and I wanna drop into updater than nothing happens. I got a tipical windows sing (a circle crossed) when I pull over it.

    I have a simtools software as well, but I've never had problem to add any new plugin.... have no idea.

    ok, I cleaned up his pc, removed Simtools and all components of it.
    Just finished with reinstall as administrator. Activation done. It looks everythin ok.

    Closed Simtools software and opened updater.
    tried to drag n drop all of downloaded plugins with same result.

    Same issue.
    He has Win10 pro 64bit on his PC and he can not communicate to anyone on forum

    Perhaps @yobuddy can make other suggestions but I would suggest uninstalling and accept removing all files.

    Then to be sure delete the appdata SimTools folder if it exists: C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Local\SimTools

    Then do a clean reinstall of SimTools 2.

    did it 10 minutes ago.
    Cleaned up the PC and of course I deleted all of components and files of simtools included that appdata path.
    no effect, same problem...

    You will have this problem If you run the SimTools Plugin Updater as administrator.
    Launch it normally and it will work buddy.

    The 'Drag 'n' 'Drop' not working makes sense when you think about it.
    If the plugin updater is running as admin, it is running above the privilege of the account your using.
    So it blocks the 'Drag 'n' 'Drop' because the current user does not have the same elevated privileges as the plugin updater.
