    Hello,

This is my simulator, i used :
    - 2 wiper motors of 12V
    - Velleman VM110
    - Sabertooth 2x10A
    - Xsim V2 with 2 speeds (low and high), no PID

    The structure is in steel profile 30mm * 30mm * 2mm.

very nice job there. Well done.
I was going to suggest using simtools, but you would need to speak to the development team to see if they are supporting VM110 boards.

Nice clean sim, to use SimTools, as this is the only software supported here, you will need to upgrade it.

That is a very nice looking rig, and your motion setup is one of the neat and cleanest that I have seen. Well done!

Hi @djboss001, This is a nice sim you have created. I think it shows that the vellman/sabertooth combo can produce motion that a lot of "simmers" would be happy with. Maybe we should be exploring ways of supporting these boards in "Simtools" to appeal to more DIY'ers. I'm sure not everyone wants the fastest, most realistic motion possible - some people might be happy with arcade-style motion.
    Again, nice sim @djboss001!

Thank you for your compliments ;)

My simulator will be upgraded with new 24V engines, an arduino and Simtools V2.2 software. Photos will arrive later.

Here are the first modifications of my simulator:
    - reinforcement of the structure
    - changing the driving position for the T500RS
    - installation of 24V motors

I do not know why my photos do not display correctly. I tried with several hosts, several resolutions, but it does not work.

    Edit : problem fixed

    Hi everyone,

After a long period of downtime with the simulator, I'm back to building with a new configuration. The base is now on wheels, and the mounting of the motors and potentiometers is now much more robust and reliable!

Here is a video while waiting for the next part:

And an another test with the harness attached to a fixed part, to simulate the compression effort of the rib cage during braking. It works very well!

You have a good eye !

And what's more, it can be hung on the wall when not in use.

@SimPotato : Impressive guy ! But I prefer woodworking, which requires much less expensive tools.

Some news: the construction of my new version of the cockpit is going well. Before the video demonstration, here is already a list of actions done (may be useful for new pilots ;) ) . .

To begin with, here is the list of materials used:
    - Arduino Uno
    - Sabertooth 2x32A
    - Power supply 24V 20A with 2 battery 12V / 7Ah in parallel
    - 2 motors smolka 24V with disconnected ground potential.
    - 2 potentiometers PPC27
    - 1 PC for gamer (Ruzen 2600X / RTX 2060 super / 32 Go DDR / 2 To SSD)
    - Wheel Thrustmaster TS-PC
    - Paddles Heusinkveld HE pro
    - Screen 42" Samsung

    General wiring diagram :
    6v5r.jpg

Download and install the following software:
    szto.png

Jumper configuration of the sabertooth with 1 and 2 OFF (115200 baud) :
    qkpo.png

    Then :
    - Launching Plugin updater, setting up plugins and patching the games (Assetto corsa, Raceroom and Dirt Rally)
    - Activation of the DIY license
    - Launch GameManager and GameEngine, green sync OK

    GameEngine configuration :
    7cx9.png

    - Save the configuration
    - In Output Testing, I do Turn On and select Axis Output, I move the Axis1a sliders a bit: It works!
    gameengine-test-49c9ce7.jpg

    - Calibration of motors with potentiometers :
To calibrate (by calibrate I mean to put the crank in the starting position when the potentiometer is at its average value) here is the simplest method:
    - You make sure that the gear wheels of the potentiometer and the motor are not in contact.
    - You run output testing in Simtools without touching any slider (the potentiometers will try to get to the average position = 512)
    - You turn the potentiometer slowly which will make the crank turn more or less quickly
    - Once your crank is in the desired position and the pot is in the middle position (no more movement of the crank), you make contact between the gears again.
    - Activation of effects in the game (Assetto Corsa) :
    xkj0.png
    ra8v.png
    1pde.png

    - So I have 5 effects activated:
    - Sway 80%
    - Surge 80%
    - Heave 25%
    - Roll 25%
    - Pitch 25%
    And let's play !
