This is my second attempt for mounting a 2 DOF sim. The last time i use wiper motors and homemade power supply. This and many another things dont make me posibble have good results.
Few months ago i make the decision and buy stronger motors and power supplies, also new and best potentiometers.
I share whit you some pictures of my advances. I hope keep doing whit the best results of my sim.
Special thanks to @noorbeast and @Pedro Pablo for help me the last time and keep helping to all who need.

@MuñozChile2dof - those pots look like multiturn pots - like the 10 turn variety. If that's true, they may not be appropriate for those motors. For those kinds of motors you probably want directly-coupled pots with around 180 degrees or less of rotation for full scale.

I'm not going by much information so may be totally off base too.

    Good luck!

hi guys. today i mount in a provisory box the arduino one, the two moto monsters and all the wires.
I connect everything and only one motor works ok, but the other one dont.
I check the wires thousand time and all is ok, i test with the another moto monster and is ok too.
I think maybe is a problem whit the arduino code? I hope you can help me.
I am usin the SMC3 code, with one moto monster for each motors.

I upload a video with the sintoms.

Are you going to put heat sinks on the MMs? Fans? Just asking since I don’t see them and they are considered essential. Also, clone MMs seem to be very problematic with lots of dead ones intermixed with good ones. Check other threads here. Lots of discussions of that.

Hello @Zed , yes i put heat sinks later and i have a 120 mm fan in the cover, am just doing the first testings.
And i discard the MMs i change all the wires between them and works perfectly, but no work the two at the same time that is my problem now.

If one works properly and the other doesn’t, could you have any wiring issues?

I am not running Arduino and MMs but plenty of others do here. If you are running the same code as them, the code will be good.

Sorry I’m not more help. One thing though is it’s hard for anyone to debug/check your wiring without sharp photos where people can trace wires. The one photo you posted is a bit blurry to do that easily. You also need to get enough angles where any wire of interest can be sorted along its entire length. Good luck!

    GOOD NEWS:cheers
I resolve the problem, was just a little thing, a wrong parameter in SMC3 utilities.
Now i do a short test whit Life For Speed and upload the video. Thank you so much @Zed

Zed sorry for asking you too much help, but i had a new problem  when i put the pots with motors
I have overturn in the motors, i mean when i press the throttle in the game they turns about 1 and half turn, the same with brake.
Do you know if this can be resolved changing some parameter in the arduino code?

I don't. I'm not familiar with the Arduino/MM setup. But if the motors are going too far, there is probably an endpoint and travel setup somewhere. The Arduino needs to know how to map the feedback value to motor position to be able to use the motors as servos.

    Have you set up endpoints?

now i test with a 180 degrees potentiometer and was the same result, the motor overturns and in this case broke the potentiometer, i don't know what to do about it

    SOLVED PROBLEM
I reduce axis amount to use in simtools to 25 % and increased the KP parameter in SMC3 utilities to 400 and everything works perfect.
    Thanks to

    excellent :)

does the sim track the sine wave in the SMC test program - ok ?
