hi, I want to share my second project with this forum as the first one I realized thanks to all of you of this wonderful community.
to make this project I used rhinoceros a 3d drawing program.

the motors are wipers for the axies 1 and 2 are FIAT SCUDO wipers for the traction loss is FIAT DUCATO wipers, disassembled and modified to isolate the negative from the carcass.
made to the cutter the supports for the potentiometers for a perfect alignment as in the picture

soon we go ahead with the construction of the unit that I intend to make with arduino one and mm with double power connection for each engine

I have Maaaaany hours in Rhino, great product for surfacing, how is it for solids now, been 100 years since I've used it

The wiper motors are 12v or 24v ?

    12 volts,
FIAT SCUDO wipers are mechanically very strong and have double gear and are quite easy to isolate from the mass
the two windscreen wipers inclusive of support plate € 50 from junkyard
rhinoceros is easy to use especially for surface modeling.
the steering wheel mount is designed for the Thrustmaster T300RS and is adjustable back and forth as well as the pedal board supporto volante.jpg

ok, let's move on to the construction of the power unit
    material used:
    1 Arduino R3uno
    3 MM
    3 Power supplies 12 v 30Amp
the electric scheme used is this:
arduino piu 3 motormonster doppia potenza (FILEminimizer).jpg
the file to load on arduino is SMC3 and you can download it at this link: https: //www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/smc3-arduino-3dof-motor-driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/

    15.jpg 16.jpg 17.jpg 20.jpg 21.jpg 22.jpg 23.jpg 24.jpg

CAUTION!! in case you use more power supplies as I did, it is necessary to connect all the negatives together and with the negative of ARDUINO in order to put all the components to the zero potential with respect to the PC and so you will avoid the malfunctions of all peripherals connected to USB as a steering wheel or various accessories.

let's move on to the test I performed for simplicity with simtools v1.3 and rfactor

the test took place without any problems, some adjustments to the software were enough and everything went well. The SMC3 software is fantastic !!

ok, next time we start with the frame of the simulator

Nice test and good job for the fixation of potentiometer on the wiper motor.

For the mechanical part I would say to start with the articulated joint.
I used a semi-axis of a truly massive FIAT PUNTO.
    25.jpg 26.jpg 27.jpg
this cage structure allows perfect alignment before carrying out the final welding
    29.jpg
    antirust
    30.jpg
    final painting color BLACK GOFFRED
I can guarantee you that it resists a lot of weight and above all it has very fluid movements

The position of the joint has been calculated to remain in perfect balance with all the components mounted and for a person of average height and weight of about 80 kg

    ANTI-TORSION DEVICE

    59.jpg 60.jpg 61.jpg
this device consisting of a fork and a support pin serves to block all the torsional forces on the articular joint, thus stabilizing the entire structure

We install the Traction loss engine

    62.jpg 64.jpg 65.jpg

at the center of the two arms I installed rubber dampers for the strongest tears

where the bearings flow, I installed an interchangeable galvanized iron plate so as not to damage the underlying frame due to friction
