I've been doing some flying in my rig and have a new appreciation for Aerofly FS2 in VR. Where other sims have a hard time with frame rates, Aerofly in VR is extremely smooth and so beautiful. They don’t model a lot of stuff the other sims do, but for pure fun, Aerofly with VR and motion is hard to beat.

Last night I discovered the wing fold lever in the Corsair. It’s down on the left side console a little behind you. Flip that thing and get ready for a stunning visual in VR. It’s just weird to have those chordy, stubby wings start wrapping your cockpit.

Anyway, maybe not for everyone but so fun for me for just fun flying. I hope they add multiplayer soon. It definitely needs other aircraft flying.

Hey guys, if you happen to like the Corsair, there’s a guy who flys one who has some videos where he shows the systems. Here is wing folding from the cockpit perspective and by gosh if it doesn’t all look very familiar!

I was trying to record some video in Aerofly FS2 the last few days and didn’t realize I was seeing a preview of things to come that’s now gone.

Over on the IPACS blog they mention they accidentally merged an internal build with the release build and it got into the wild before ready. (https://www.aerofly.com/community/f...pacs-latest-news-blog/&postID=52779#post52779) Hopefully I captured the VR menu on video as I was recording and adjusting.

What I saw was a super sampling slider, a scale slider, and I think a field of view slider but don’t remember. I was flying again tonight and there was an update and the menu was gone. But I had changed my scaling a bit because the Bücker and 172 had originally seemed a little small. The scale setting stuck.

I’ll see if I captured that menu tomorrow and if so, post a screen shot. Hopefully it comes back soon.

hey man, i'm having issues with aerofly fs2..everytime i open i, game engine crashes for some reason :/ this is the only game that does this for me. Do you know what could be causing this..? i installed the latest aerofly plugin (by re downloading the plugins zip which apparently gets updated every day). But it still keeps on crashing..

Does it generate an actual crash message or log, if so please post a picture of that.

The same Zed as on the Aerofly forums. Is that what you mean? I’m Robert on Steam. Yeah, I know. Real original... :)

Wish Aerofly was multiplayer. They say they are working on it though.
