Im a bit of a newbie and I bought I brilliant homemade sim. The bloke I bought from built from scratch and I saw it all working before I bought it. When I get it home I can't get the machine to run. I have connected to the Arduino which becomes com3 and I can't seem to get the Monster Moto to function or match up to Simtools. Any help on getting this thing setup would be awesome thanks

I have to say this seems to be well thought out layout - simple and clean seems like you got yourself a good package, congratulations.

    Looks very good!

Have you installed drivers for arduino? (may be you need CH340 drivers for chineese arduino)

The only I can suggest more - better fixate wires near "Motor feedback", if one of them will come off the connector the feedback resistor may be damaged.

A license is required for SimTools 2 to utilise any plugins other than the LFS one, which is included for testing purposes.

See here re the commercial relationship and revenue sharing arrangements between SimTools (motion Software) and Xsimulator (plugin access and community support), as each has its own costs: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-and-xsimulator-partnership-explained.275/

While DIY sim builders are eligible for a free DIY license someone buying a DIY rig is required to purchase a Professional License, which can be found here: https://simtools.us/license/

The upside of a Professional license is that it also covers all the additional SimTools companion apps: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/categories/official-companion-apps.32/

The difference from SimTools 1.3 to SimTools 2 in setup is that in the Interface Settings instead of axis defined like this <Axis1> it now has designate grouping for a or b in SimTools 2 for each axis assignment, like this <Axis1a>

In your case for a 2DOF the Interface settings will be <Axis1a><Axis2a>

What code is the Arduino running, as that will affect some other settings?
