I’d select the DC80.148 version, the biggest one.

now its time to show up the next milestone for the Actuator.
The tube is made of PMMA, fully transparent.

Your actuator looks amazing, a real testament to the work that has gone into it!

Looks great, I like the clear a lot better then the translucent PVC that I have on mine. I was looking into using clear cast acrylic tubing, boy is that stuff expensive though.

Those PMMA tubes are beautiful! What a way to show off the actuator mechanisms! Very nice work!

Good Morning Mate. Excellent design. I've being following your Linear Actuator design for the past weeks .
I'm going to build mine with a 1kw Servo motor for my 6DOF Simulator with my Thanos Kickstarter controller. Can I ask if you can send me the CAD or designing files of the design in case I need to change something on for for the different motor. The one I'm after is the Actuator Motor side mode mounting plate being made from Aluminum . Thanks Aussie

    Hi @Aussie

I will share my drawings soon.
A 1KW ( one kilowatt) motor is too much I would say. Do you have motor controller to drive these monsters ? Normally 250-400w is ideal for motors. Please keep care of the motors stall current. If it’s more than 100A I wouldn’t use it.
Most of motor drivers cannot handle this.

Thank You for the reply.I will be using Thanos AMC1280USB Delux controller. I might change to a 750w AC servo motor instead.

That’s right, I found out that the Regen energy (in my setup) in terms of power (watt seconds) is relatively low, so the smaller batteries are OK.

What are you using for feedback? I can't see any belts inside the tube.

Not yet, it’s the 1st time I used this.
Don’t know how it works. Hopefully we’ll enough. I will report it when I start with function tests. Stay tuned !

.First read the thread and then have a look at the sites FAQ and other actuator threads, more then enough information there.
